TBH, obviously I don't condone such a thing, but looking at my time in Probation, I can understand what's in the psyche of people who do that

 point is they were on probation and obviously didn't murder their parents otherwise they wouldn't be on probation unless they had served many years. I don't think anyone can second guess a murderer, they may look perfectly normal and act so.
