Sing Along...

My life, my life, my life, my life in the sunshine
Everybody loves the sunshine
Sunshine, everybody loves the sunshine
Sunshine, folks get down in the sunshine
Sunshine, folks get 'round in the sunshine
Just bees and things and flowers
My life, my life, my life, my life in the sunshine
Everybody loves the sunshine
Sunshine, everybody loves the sunshine
Sunshine, folks get down in the sunshine
Sunshine, folks get 'round in the sunshine
Feel, what I feel, when I feel, what I feel
When I'm feelin', in the sunshine
Feel, what I feel, when I feel, what I feel
When I'm feelin', in the sunshine
Do what I do, when I do, what I do
When I'm doin', in the sunshine
Do what I do, when I do, what I do
When I'm doin', in the sunshine
Sunshine, everybody loves the sunshine

Saw him two nights in a row in Ronnies. Stands out

This tune has a special place in my heart. I started work at a college. My colleague (a black guy) played me a lot of reggae amongst other music, we also listened to a bit of pirate radio in the office and to be honest, we did less work and a bit too much listening to music.

Anyway, one day this tune came on the radio. My colleague decided to buy it, so at lunch time we went to a predominantly afro-caribbean area of Sheffield where there was this little record shop, the record was duly purchased on vinyl. !!

Good times, good memories.

My now ex-colleague has been a close friend ever since.

Funny who you bump into EC.

I started work for BT in the eighties. In Euston Tower. I can safely say all my friends were West Indian. People who would stand up      That was the local.

It certainly is funny who you meet along the way. I always wonder what I would be doing if I deviated slightly from the path I took, for example, if I had never started work at the college, I would never have met my friend and more than likely not had quite the depth of interest/liking in reggae. Although I found out that my friend is probably more into Jazz, something I was already dipping my toe into along with funk and soul.

Have you not tried to find your friend Twickers?

Social media may help.
