Good morning everyone

It's sunny here at presemt, chilly outside at present.

Squiggle, I thought that could be the case with your milk

As I've mentioned before, years ago I had a dream about the lottery winning numbers and remembered them when I woke up - 8,8,8,8,8 and 8

I hope everyone has a good day

Somehow, I don’t think we’re going to win with those numbers, El

🤔 I was thinking the same too Yogi

I think we might need to get a Lucky Dip instead

Yep, that’s a good idea, methinks

Good morning everyone disappointingly cloudy and grey this morning which is sad because I'm in the mood for sunshine!! Oh well I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

Good evening all crikey I hadn’t realised I’d been awol for 48 hours! how quick it goes. I’ve done a lot of work, and walked a very hilly marathon, then done a whole load more work, and just about caught up on the new Game of Thrones

i hope you all all had a lovely weekend, and got a good start to the week

~Sparkling Summer~

You had a busy weekend, summer

I managed to get into the garden and get some herbs planted and I’ve prepped my raised bed.

I’ve got the tiddlers tomorrow so I’m off to get some sleep.

Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer

Hug for Ros and any other night owls

Good afternoon Buddies

We have had a couple of light showers here. Nothing much though

Currently dry. A slight breeze. A little warmer too

Yogi, I hope you have a lovely day with the little ones

Have a great day everyone

Some time ago I mentioned that a film about the formative years of J R R Tolkien was being made. Here's the official trailer:

12A for moderate war violence.

He and Edith Bratt married during WW1 in 1916 and stayed married until her death in 1971. He died a couple of years later.

Evening all

Thanks everyone, we did have a good day with the tiddlers

for update on the sale of the fairy pics, El.

I hope you missed the showers if you were visiting the swans, Moonie

Due to the Oxford Childrens Dictionary dropping various words connected with nature a few years ago a couple of people decided to create a book around the words which had been dropped. Called "The Lost Words" it was published in October 2017. Although for children, it's got interest for adults as well.

There's going to be a Proms concert this year based on that book which is why it's in the news today.

The words dropped are not obscure words, for instance they include cygnet and bramble.

How odd to drop words like cygnet, Bramble, otters and acorn. I’m glad to say, my grandchildren use all of them - in fact they used cygnet and Bramble yesterday.

Good afternoon Buddies

We have warm sunshine with just a slight breeze

I hope it’s the same where you are too

Have a great day and if it is sunny where you are, enjoy it

The sun came out up here too - a really nice, warm afternoon

Evening night owl checking in it’s been like a summers day here! And I have used the word “Bramble” many times today

i can accept that the world is constantly changing, but a dictionary without “Bramble” is a real shame

I hope you’ve all had a lovely day I’ve had a restful day, and I do believe I’m recovered from Sunday’s strenuous walk now I caught up on Victoria today, I really enjoy it.
