Sorry yogi, I got distracted! I have a friend/former mentor that I used to work for/with and we occasionally but regularly text each other pics that's basically just verbal abuse, but it's all harmless banter. I've been looking for some new material to send and found myself in a fit of giggles, crying with lol laughter!!!

i hope you have very sweet dreams I'm currently reading Erica James's "it's the little things"

Yogi, I hope the rain stops for you so that the electrical work can be done

Squiggle, thanks  My detective work was done as I wanted to make progress and couldn't get hold of the client.

The work got done, El.

You are our very own Mr Marple.

Any of you going to watch the return of Twin Peaks on Sky Atlantic? I've no interest in it which is just as well as I have Freeview. I saw next to nothing of the original though the music for the opening credits was as good as any series ever made.

I never watched it first time round and won't bother with this series either.

Tomorrow a plaque will go up in Winchcombe (to the north east of Cheltenham) in memory of Christopher Merrett who was born there. In 1662 he wrote "Our wine coopers of recent times use vast quantities of sugar and molasses to all sorts of wines to make them drink brisk and sparkling and to give them spirit".  That's 35 years earlier than the monk Dom Pierre Perignon who discovered champagne.

In 1662 Christopher Merrett published Pinax Rerum Naturalium Britannicarum. That was one of the first lists of English flora, fauna and minerals but was the first to list British birds and butterflies.

Typical phone call from someone with a Chinese accent telling me that the cost of my business phone rent and calls would go down. When he said that the line cost with Openreach and the call cost with Sky or Virgin Media would go down I told him he was saying absolute rubbish and terminated the call (making sure that at no point did I say "yes"). News to me that it was possible for line to be with Openreach and calls with Virgin Media, at least not since Virgin Media ended their dial up internet service 4 years ago yesterday.
