If you know of anyone in the southeast Grampian area, particularly the uplands of Angus and south Aberdeenshire, there is a red weather warning for over 100 mm of rain during tomorrow and Friday. Some places could get as much as 250 mm.

Yes, looking dreadful up there El I think the last red warning for rain was two or three years ago , and that was in Wales .

Forecast for today says 'Strong winds and light rain showers'

I agree with the strong winds, but I have just spent the last ten minutes listening to the HAIL battering off the front windows!

It is just raining now, but doesn't look in any way like a shower!

I hope you got through yesterday’s storm unscathed EFFT . It was bad enough down here , but looked dreadful up there !

Considering we are at the top of a hill, we got off fairly lightly!

There was a puddle on the doorstep and the bins had moved around a bit, but nothing blown over.

A lot of fine fronds had blown out of the evergreens that form the hedge, but nothing worse.....and no power cuts!

Hope you managed ok yourself?

Looking at the weather forecast, it suggests that our area will be hit slightly LESS than last night.
