BBC weather (why do I bother) says fresh winds for Newcastle - except it's gale force up here!! Avoid Gateshead everyone - it's grim despite anything you read.

Oh and they're trying to build a "Gateshead Wheel" yep like the London Eye - the Gateshead something or other - Christ's sake! Another unrequested vanity project to demand attention but once they have your attention you'll realise there's nothing beneath the surface. The only reason to go to Gateshead Quayside (if you can call it that) is so you can view the beauty of Newcastle Quayside ... then get the hell outta there.

Well if it makes you feel any better...we are mostly cloudy and gusty here in Devon today and as for any type of structure on our quay ...it wouldn't be allowed...too many nimby's

Newcastle - billy wind just got all angry and is going crazy - it's been gales for 3 days so far!

Last year the wind rip a plant out of our garden - I thought it had been stolen but I found it behind a bush! A few years ago our spider plant fell out of it's pot - not joking either, found it next to the kettle in the kitchen! Not roots - wonder if it topped itself, poor thing
