I was charged £45. I didn't realise it wasn't a set fee.

That amount is still at the very bottom of the rates El mentioned, so if the service was reasonably priced, you got a good deal.

Squiggle, even though you were charged the maximun for the MOT, the important thing is the service you get. It's similar to my new computer. I probably could have got it cheaper online (and the shop owner was open about that), but if I had, the little problem I had last week would have been much more time consuming to resolve.

Oops, I misread your post, El. I thought it was a range of £54 to £85.

I did put a hyphen between the 54 and the 85 as it's easier to see rather than just a decimal point, so I can see that my post could be misread

It was the hyphen which confused me.

I did think it a wee bit strange that there was such a difference between the two figures.

Well done, Ros, that sounds fabulous.

Good morning everyone. Weather is cloudy but dry.

Flying visit, as I am preparing for PB's arrival.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy morning here today and forecast to be a wet afternoon.

Yogi, I hope you have a lovely day with PB

Ros, well done on your performance Did you know that Lori our administrator is also a member of a community choir in Seattle. Mozart's Requiem is just the sort of music they would perform.

Good morning sunshine & showers here today

Happy PB day yogi quality girl time ooh, unless Harvey is coming too hehe

I looked up Audrey Hepburn on lovefilm and there are many titles I didn't even know existed, and a few I've heard of but didn't know she was in!
There is also a gardening DVD that she must have done when she was older, but she still looked graceful & elegant

Summer, the Gardens of the World series you are referring to was the last production Audrey Hepburn was involved in before she died. Michael York came in as narrator when she became unable to continue.

Good morning everyone, a nice bright morning with only the slightest possibility of a shower later on.

Audrey Hepburn was lucky enough to only wear clothes designed especially for her by Givenchy, a fact I find fascinating.  She found her 'look' which is one of the reasons also why I like the film Roman Holiday because in that she starts off with fairly normal hair and then has it cut by a talented hairdresser and wow what a difference.

Enjoy your day with PB Yogi and I hope the day goes equally well for everyone

A Gloucester street artist (like Banksy) by the name of Trix has been at work in Gloucester. Some of Trix's works have been put on my local newspaper website but this one is the best of them.

I love the artwork, El.

I've had a lovely day with PB. We went for a walk to see the swans on the village pond. They were building their nest, which held her attention for a while.

I hope everyone has had a good day.

Sorry I didn't get here sooner, had some important correspondence to take care of.

Aw yogi that sounds like a lovely day out I'm glad you've enjoyed yourselves and with the spring coming, you can look forward to lots more outdoors adventures!

Sweet dreams to all; friends, visitors and absent friends

Good morming everyone

Cloudy and cold here, rain forecast this afternoon.

Yogi, I'm glad you had a lovely day with PB. I'm not surprised that PB is entranced by swans as they slowly glide along the water.

I agree, El, swans are very elegant birds.

Good morning a cold but sunny start here today, but it's now overcast...
I have a few errands to run this morning, if I can escape from work for an hour *crosses fingers*

Yogi, I hope your chores don't take too long and  you can put your feet up after

Good morning everyone, a nice bright morning but showers later, I rushed to get my rubbish put out whilst it's dry.  Off to get a new toilet seat soon, my old one just broke at the hinge yesterday, it's not that old as well.  Metal hinges and it's supposed to be a good quality wood one.  The cheapy one upstairs with plastic hinges goes on and on

Sounds like a lovely day with PB yesterday Yogi, what a pleasure it is to discover the world all over again through her eyes   Hope the ironing and shopping goes well.

Hope you get all your errands successfully Summer.

Have a good day everyone

Good afternoon Buddies.

A fleeting visit from me

Yogi, glad your car passes its MOT and you had a lovely PB day We have a park at the bottom of our road with loads of nesting swans. The geese are always trying to drive the swans offtheir nests by swimming in from both sides of the pool when there is only one swan there

Sweet, I hope you got your errands done and not working too hard. And looking after yourself(lecture over) Hope Mr Summer has recovered too

Squiggle and El, hope you are both having a good day

May be back this evening

My car just passed the MOT. I note there was a price comparison before so I can now reveal that I paid £40.

Glad the car passed and well done on getting such a good price.
