Could you imagine how long the film would be if they had added more information in !!!!

I read somewhere that Villeneuve made a (perhaps jokey) comment that this is one film where you won't get a Director's Cut, because it's long enough already!

 

Having said that:

1) The "Blade Runner" Director's Cut remains one of the few examples of the format where most of the changes were to remove things!

 

2) Jared Leto has made references in interviews to at least one scene he filmed which - although he didn't know for certain if it was in the movie when he made the comments - sounds as if it did not make the final cut. It therefore may well turn up at some point in the future...

 

3) For all the talk about its length, "Blade Runner 2049" is still half an hour shorter than "Titanic"...
