My daughter parked in a local private car park, (along with some other cars) there were some workman at the other side of the car park. when they came back they had been given a ticket for "obstruction" the workmen claimed to have told them to move (he hadn't) daughter was really upset (they used threatening language) she called the police but it is a"private matter" obviously she is appealing
The workmen did not wear any hi vis jackets etc and they produced no identification other than to say "I am the manager"
Was it a real parking ticket, or one that looks similar? was it from a traffic warden or the police? - they are the only ones that you legally have to pay.
If it's a 'notice' from a private parking company, she is under no obligation to pay it, it's merely a request for payment, like an invoice.
