GB's opponents in the Fed Cup World Group II playoffs in April will be one of Russia (8th) , Ukraine (10th), Canada (14th) or Spain (12th). Figures in brackets are the world rankings prior to the matches of the last week. GB are 18th.

The matches will be played either here or in the opponent's country - generally that's done by lot with the country winning choosing the venue. It's the fourth time in the last 7 years that GB has got through to this stage but it's not since 1993 since they played here.
