nod Very true. It can help when it comes to sentencing. An early admission of guilt not only gains 'credit' but can also be seen as admission and acceptance of the wrongdoing, hence remorse (whether it's true or not). Imaging a crime involving a child, it's not looked on kindly dragging children into court.
