    Our local shop has taken to giving away free copies of the Torygraph. Mrs Jer accepted one yesterday but I've only just found time to read it. Did we discuss the GCHQ quiz last year? I can't remember. Anyway, in yesterday's paper there the first part of the quiz and an advert for the book. It consists of a sudoku grid and a quite straightforward picture puzzle. I'll be buying the book tomorrow! I love anything like this.

    Whilst I'm waiting for France to score, I've been catching up with the news. I note that the foreign based singer is attempting to sue us, or at least our BBC. Surely the polis tipped off the Beeb and no journalist is going to miss out on a story. Let's hope the BBC call his bluff, ban his music and he remains in his Portuguese homeland.

    I'm pretty much speechless! I think we were all able to forgive Whittingdale his faux pas. After all most of the red blooded males on here will have at some time walked out with a lady who we later discovered to be a dominatrix or the type of prostitute who might insert foreign bodies into well known actors. I know I have. Fancy carrying on as Murdoch's useful idiot and continuing to attack our BBC though!

    We have three in the family. What a coincidence that all of them failed after the last iTunes update. None of them will sync properly and One of them won't play any more. I never throw anything away and brought out of retirement a couple of old Sony 2GB walk persons. This got me thinking and I did a bit of research. Argos are doing a 160 GB MP3 player. About £135. Of course all the iTunes contents can be dragged and dropped. Problem solved! Apple have really shot themselves in the foot...

    I feel a bit awkward posting this. However this summer I've been under a lot of pressure in real life and haven't been on these threads as much as usual. Cologne always took an interest in my visits to Germany and a couple of times a year I would get her local newspapers, 4711 bits and bobs and souvenirs and send them to her home address. I know that she was in increasingly poor health and was a less frequent visitor to the Forum too. So I wasn't too surprised that she didn't get in touch.
