Britain's Andy Murray will open Centre Court play today as he attempts to win his third Wimbledon title.

The 2016 champion, 30, will face Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik in the first round at 13:00 BST.

The Scot, who is fit following a hip injury, hopes to match fellow Briton Fred Perry as a three-time champion.

British number one Johanna Konta is also in action on day one of the 131st Championships, along with Venus Williams and Rafael Nadal. She seems to have recovered from hurting her back last week at the Eastbourne tournament which she had to withdraw from.

The Venus Williams/Johanna Konta semi final is the second match on Centre Court today. That's not the only match today involving British players. There are two mixed doubles quarter finals matches to see, There's the one which follows the semi finals on Centre Court where Jamie Murray and Martina Hingis, the number one seeds are playing Ken Skupski and Jocelyn Rae so it's certain that one or two British players will progress to the semis.

And the other one (court and time not yet decided) is between the number 10 seeds and the defending champions Henri Kontinen and Heather Watson. They aren't seeded but they make a very good duo and it's clear they enjoy their matches,

A final between Jamie Murray/Martina Hingis and Henri Kontinen/Heather Watson would be a must watch if they all get through.

After the disappointment of Johanna Konta losing to Venus Williams, well done to Henri Kontinen and Heather Watson for brightening up Centre Court and cheering up anyone who saw them.

With Jamie Murray and Martina Hingis winning their quarter final the possibility of them and Henri Kontinen and Heather Watson final is still on.

And that is exactly what we've got!

And it should be a must watch after the Men's final on Sunday as it could be the match of the tournament, even better than Henri's and Heather's semi which finished a short while ago. Jamie Murray and Martina Hingis are top doubles players but this tournament is the first time they've played as a pair. Henri Kontinen is also a top doubles player and is equal to them. Heather Watson isn't in their league as a doubles player but when she's with Henri Kontinen she's just as good as them and there is real tennis chemistry between them.
