The fall of BB,

For me it was the BB4, aka the big bore, to ensure this did not happen again channel four put together the most extreme of housemates, ranked up the interference and watched sparks fly.

BB4 produced the coffin and BB5 nailed the lid on

BB5 also produced the fame hungry and paved the way for all the would be wannabes and the introduction of the poor me I am a victim.  I didn't  have much hope for last night but I  watch as I  can't  quite forget the good BB houses, there does seem to be a couple of genuine housemates but I  have  been  fooled so many times.

Give em time. They'll all unravel - too many egos. Then we'll step in..

Exactly Velvet

I would just like a few genuine people, although this does seem like too much to ask for...

Yes, sadly it does Machel ....I much prefer * normal * people .....I used to like the conversations...

It didn't really go wrong, it just became repetitive and tiresome.  Familiarity breeding contempt.  C5 have handled it badly but it's a tired old format anyway that delivers the same tiresome stereotypes.  One larger than life attention seeking streotype after another just becomes a boring.  We all know the types: -

The camp gay extrovert, the drama queen, the posh boy, the angry lefty, the busty lovely, the would be gangsta, the hasbeen, the left/right wing reactionary, the cheeky Geordie, the cheeky Scouser, the cheeky Cockerney, the jock, the muscleman, the controversial hack, the feminist, the conservative.

Just like "The Apprentice", it's been done to death.

Couldn't agree more.

BB4 (even tho it produced the greatest ever HM's in Jon Tickle) also killed the BB we knew and loved, and created this carnage we see today...selling the rights to the show to channel5 didn't help either.

I can remember every HM's name from the first several BB's from the early 2000s, but I can hardly remember any of the HM's from the last few summer BB's...that says everything to me...that's why I'm not bothering with this years show.
