Interesting article about cats,

https://news.vice.com/article/...being-caused-by-cats

The Australian government says there are approximately 20 million feral cats in Australia. Dr. Jim Radford, a conservationist with Bush Heritage Australia, told VICE News that feral cats are the "single biggest threat" to protecting many of Australia's threatened species.

"There's hardly a part of the continent that hasn't been touched by them," he said.

......murderer in our back garden

I came down this morning to find a corpse in my back garden. The second in as many weeks. Feathers all over the place

I think it is a fox. We have them here abouts

Lovely animals but they show no mercy

Omg ....are you sure it's not a marauding cat

There are some 'rough' lookers around here Bazzy so that's a possibility

I had a similar situation this morning - pigeon feathers all over the garden.

It's sad Yogi but Nature can be sometimes

 Very true.

I remember phoning Mr Yogi, in tears, after seeing next door's cat killing a baby sparrow. I don't know what I thought he could do about it.
