Anyone fancy it?

I've taped it, Roger, and will be giving it a go this evening.

Its off to a good start Madame - and great to see Saga back!

Rog, thanks for the heads up last night, otherwise I would have missed it.

I watched it after IAC, and although it's great to have Saga back, I am missing Martin.

I enjoyed it. All ends/storylines nearly tied up.

I must have fallen asleep somewhere yogi!! I was left still a bit confuzzled!!

Don't ask me to explain it, I've already ejected it from my memory banks.

Yes: I'm recording a lot of stuff at the moment, but finally caught up with "Capital" last night. I haven't read the book, but have heard good things about it. As for the TV series, "intriguing" is definitely the word.

I really like it  - my friend's comment about the book was that the characters were really good and I can see what she means (I'll read the book too i think) Best quote so far for me was Arabella 'Did you remember the pomegranate molasses?'

Yes: that was a cracker!

As a "Detectorists" fan (final episode tonight ), it's been a bit weird seeing Rachael Stirling and Toby Jones starring together in two series at the same time. It's also a shame that neither of Rachael's characters are particularly likeable...

I've decided not to watch any more of Capital for now - decided I liked it so i downloaded the book (I always think books are better and I want to find out what it's all about in more detail before I watch it!)  I'm hooked already  - rounding out the characters etc, but I can't get over that in the book, Toby Jones'character is described at 6' 3" and 'handsome in an anonymous way'.    I wonder who cast him?!   I do like him though and it works for me.

Is Fargo worth watching? How does it compare to series one? I don't want to go in the Fargo thread in case there are spoilers..

I have quite enjoyed it and if I could watch it again I would like to do it over a series of nights as I sometimes lose the thread.

But I would recommend Rog.

Thanks EC much appreciated

Would you say this series is on a par with  the first one? I thought that was good - if not in the very top bracket of tv, like G.O.T Mad Men and The Walking Dead.

You have me at a disadvantage as I have never seen any of the shows you mention, but I enjoyed the first one and think this is on a par with it. It is based on a true story as they say in the opening credits. You still have the quirky characters as before and the cold, yes snow. Can't say too much as I don't want to introduce spoilers.

Edit: I am going to buy the blu-ray box set of Mad Men when it is released soon.

Your welcome.

I'm buying Mad Men as I have heard more positive reviews than bad, what do you think to it?

"Mad Men" is really terrific TV: the sort of show that rewards fans who follow it right through. It was a very sad day for me when the BBC last the rights to Sky (as part of the creation of Sky Atlantic).

its excellent EC . Probably my favourite tv series? I always think of it as being like F Scott Fitzgerald, to The Wire's Charles Dickens. Both excellent in different ways. Its not crash bang wallop action tv, but very rewarding to follow the characters and it has some fantastic acting.
