JLS star's ex to release 'Cheat Again' song

Jaime Jay, former girlfriend of JLS star Marvin Humes, is to release a spoof version of the X Factor runners-up single "Beat Again." The track reached number one in the UK singles chart.

The couple dated for six years when they were both members of the group VS.

She is to release her single "Cheat Again" on November 9, according to Digital Spy.

A statement explained that the track was not originally going to be released but received substantial interest after it was leaked on the internet.

The official video to the song features cameo appearances from Simon Cowell's former bodyguard Tony Adkins and JLS singer Aston Merrygold's ex-girlfriend Natalie Rush.

Jaime is reportedly working with Blue singer Simon Webbe, Stargate and Deekay on her debut album.

JLS have said that they are backing Rachel Adedeji and Rikki Loney to win this year's X Factor.

The 'Everybody In Love' boyband have said that they want their two friends to make the final.

Band member Oritse Williams said: "We've got two friends from last year on there, Rachel Adedeji and Rikki Loney, and they're both incredible talents so we hope they go all the way."

Can you believe 4000 people have gone to Ofcom and moaned about Dannii's throwaway remark?

There's been an awful lot going on in the news (well, the kind of news we bother with, anyway) since Saturday's X Factor - and yet, somehow, 4000 people have found the time and energy to complain about the joke Dannii Minogue made regarding contestant Danyl Johnson's sexuality.

We probably don't really need to recap this, but that's what proper journos would do, so let's remind you: Danyl is bisexual (and fit) and during his rendition of a Jennifer Hudson song (which he sang while looking very fit), he changed the lyrics so that he was singing about a woman (probably a fit one) instead of a man (ditto). Dannii's stupid hair seemed to do something bad to her brain, because she then made a bit of a badly thought-out joke about how, given the fit fitty fitterson's sexuality, he didn't really need to change the lyrics.

And then the world went mad. Even though Dannii has apologised for any offence she may have caused, and even though Danyl (who we quite fancy, did we mention that?) has said he's totally cool with it, quite a few people have some serious beef. A total of 3885 people have complained to media regulators Ofcom, who now need to decide if they're going to launch a proper investigation into whether her joke breached its broadcasting code.

3885 people complain about Dannii making a lame joke, and yet nobody has formally raised the issue of John & Edward still being on the show? Now that's shocking.

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has turned down a request to speak at his friend Stephen Gately's funeral – in case he buckles under his grief.

"They asked me to get involved but I couldn't stand up," says the heartbroken Boyzone manager. "I'd break down.

"The emotions and nerves would be worse than any X Factor show. I don't like real life – that's why I like the pop business, it's not real. The funeral will hit me hard," he told the Sun.

Louis will miss The X Factor's Saturday night show to attend the service in Dublin with Stephen's family and his bandmates.

Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch are understood to be flying to Majorca to accompany Stephen's casket back to the UK. They also announced on their website there will be a memorial service for the singer on a date still to be decided.

As friends and family struggle to come to terms with their loss, they can take comfort in comments he made in one of his final interviews.

"I know there's a heaven," he told the Irish Mirror, a fortnight before his death.

The star, who was 33 when he died, said he was also set on adopting a baby with long-term partner Andrew Cowles.

"I won't be truly complete until I have children. That's my biggest dream," he revealed

There's an article in today's Grauniad about why Cheryl will mime next Saturday. It's not because she can't sing, apparently. The story is accompanied by a photo of her looking like a hoo-ah less than demure.
Cheryl won't be miming anyway, she will be singing live to the normal studio audience but it will be before they go live so it doesn't interfear with the running of the program. They can then just show the earlier filming. So it won't make any difference to us.

John and Edward get sweet on fans

'X Factor' finalists John and Edward are trying to win over fans hoping to meet them outside 'The X Factor' house by handing out biscuits and cola.

John and Edward get sweet on fans

'X Factor' finalists John and Edward are trying to win over fans by handing out sweet treats.

The Grimes twins impressed devotees who have been waiting outside the London house where the show's finalists are staying, by "waving and grinning" from windows and performing their "high kicks" to entertain them

A fan told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "John and Edward also gave out biscuits and Coca-Cola and put their coats round fans' shoulders so they wouldn't get too cold."

However, despite their efforts, devotees still don't believe they have what it takes to win the show.

One waiting schoolgirl said: "Realistically, they're going to end up being TV presenters, not singers."

Fans cite Stacey Soloman and Lucie Jones as the nicest contestants, but haven't been as impressed by girl band Miss Frank.

Another fan said: "Miss Frank just did the car window up instead of saying hello. They didn't smile or say 'hi' when other guys approached them either."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that on the live show this Saturday (17.10.09), John and Edward will sing Britney Spears' classic track 'Oops I Did It Again', while Miss Frank will perform Whitney Houston's 'All the Man That I Need'.

Lucie is also believed to be performing a Whitney track after she was pictured carrying a CD with "Lucie week 2 - 'How Will I Know" - written on it, referencing another of the singer's hits.

Well, some fans and their parents like them.

I quite like Cheryl myself, she's never done anything that put me off her.

I'm no fan, but she seems nice enough.

I suppose she wants to earn what she can while the gravy train is running.

Kids can come a bit later when she has enough money to give up the glamour and settle down, although things don't always work out as we expect.

Mark Owen wrote Little Voice song for Diana Vickers

mark-owen

Take That singer Mark Owen has been revealed as the writer of the final song in the West End show The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice. The song is sung by former X Factor contestant, Diana Vickers.

Playwright Jim Cartwright: “It had always been my intention to write an original song for the end of my play, when Little Voice finally sings in her own voice,” he said.

“However, when we first premiered it at the National Theatre in 1992 we ran out of time and a Judy Garland song was used.

“When I first heard ‘Sunlight’ with Diana Vickers singing it, tears came to my eyes. I was just thrilled. It was exactly what I wanted.

“Thank you to Mark, Jamie and Ben for helping me to realise my dream for the ending of the play. It has taken 17 years but with a song as perfect as this, it was worth the wait.”

Owen added: “Jim Cartwright is one of the country’s leading playwrights and to be asked to be involved in the writing of the final song for Little Voice was a real honour.

“I’m a huge fan and am thrilled that he feels the song fits the moment and does his play justice. I’m really looking forward to watching it.”

Stacey meets Robbie Williams in last weekend's show
STACEY Solomon may be a stranger to laboratories, but she got top marks for her rendition of the Coldplay track The Scientist in the first live X Factor show last Saturday.

The bubbly brunette, whose lovable personality and great voice have won over fans of the ITV talent contest, impressed the audience and judges with her version of the ballad to go through to the second live show.

Positive comments came from all four celebrity judges.

Louis Walsh said she had "absolutely connected with the public" and was a "natural popstar".

Cheryl Cole said Stacey's live performance on the night was "the best I've heard you sing it through the whole rehearsal process".

Simon Cowell described her choice of song as "genius" and mentor Dannii Minogue applauded her for coming out of her comfort zone on the first show and said she was "just so glad we got to hear you sing so beautifully".

The 20-year-old mother-of-one from Dagenham, who is studying for a national diploma in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) at Havering FHE College, in Ardleigh Green, was also ecstatic to meet Robbie Williams, who made his comeback appearance on Sunday night's results show. He named Stacey as one of his favourites and said of her: "I think every household should have one."

Stacey was one of 10 to receive the most public votes to win a spot in the next show - which will be broadcast live tomorrow night, Saturday, on ITV1 at 8pm.

Stacey has received plenty of backing locally from businesses throughout the borough who have been putting up posters in their shop windows in support.

X factor's Grimes twin celebrate 18th birthday

Irish 'X Factor' hopefuls John and Edward Grimes turned 18 today and have revealed that there's only one thing they want to celebrate.

According to The Star, the Dublin-born Grimes brothers are hoping that they'll get enough votes to keep them in 'X Factor'.

Speaking about the pair, who are the bookies favourites to be voted off the show on Sunday, 'X Factor' judge Dannii Minogue said: "Its like they're from a different planet.

"I think in their world what they say makes senses but to everyone else its like 'Whats?'

"They remind me of 80's/90's pop - Bros, Milli Vanilli, that whole vibe. They're not the best singers but they're good value."

Minogue unsure about future marriage plans

Dannii Minogue is not sure she wants to get married again.
17/10/2009 - 10:31:48
Dannii Minogue is not sure she wants to get married again.

The ‘X Factor’ judge – whose first marriage to ‘Nip/Tuck’ actor Julian McMahon ended after two years – hasn’t discussed nuptials with her rugby player-turned-model boyfriend Kris Smith.

She said: “It’s not a conversation we’ve had. Right now, coordinating when we can even be in the same country is kind of where we’re at. It’s all plans and big question marks but I wouldn’t say never.

“My first wedding was very, very daunting. I wouldn’t want to do anything the same.”

Dannii and Julian tied the knot in 1994 in a lavish ceremony with 200 friends and family. Her sister Kylie was chief bridesmaid.

However, the brunette beauty – who will turn 38 on October 20 – hates being the centre of attention and dislikes throwing huge bashes.

She said: “I don’t enjoy parties if they are my own - I get too nervous. One of my favourite ever birthdays was spent round at a friends. There were four of us and we made Mexican food, mixed cocktails and wore our pyjamas.

“I haven’t had time to think about what I’d like to do this year. Now that Kris is here in Britain, maybe we’ll just spend it together.

Hi GrannyG.
It seems that the one who hit her was someone that failed to make it on X-F, but why he would want to take it out on Leona is unknown.
He maybe a little unbalanced as well.
