NCIS: Los Angeles starts tonight on Freeview. Channel 5 at 10.00
It is starting from the beginning of the series though in the States it is now in the fifth series.
The series concentrates on undercover work and the hard to crack cases in LA. From the reviews on IMDB it's an OK series but don't expect it to be as good as NCIS.
Lead actors are G Callen (Chris O'Connell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), Other regulars are Kensi Blye (Daniela Rush) and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa).
The team is led by Henrietta "Hetty" Lange. She is played by Linda Hunt. An extraordinary actress who is possibly best known for her role in The Year of Living Dangerously where she played a man Billy Kwan. She was the first woman to win an Oscar for playing a man, She is 4 ft 9 but I think she will stand out from the others such is her strong personality.
Leon Vance from NCIS does appear tonight and does in a few later episodes. Abby Scuito also appears in a couple of episodes in the first series.
