so do I, I watched it (last time) until it was out of sight, then I went in and looked on the internet to see where it was - just exiting Germany!

I was really excited about the lunar eclipse - until I realised I was in the wrong part of the world 

Tomorrow night we'll get 2 passes, first at 19.24 and again at 20.58.

5 minute warning for ISS viewing. Due at 20.09

Starting at 19.17 tonight there will be a very high and bright pass of the ISS.

The earlier pass last night (about 19.16) was amazingly bright, I've bought a new camera to try to get some shots, but I'm still learning how to use it so none came out.

The International Space Station will be back doing visible passes starting next week.  

Here's a picture of earth taken from the station today.

It will be back & visible from the middle of next week.

But I've just seen these photos of typhoon Maysak as it approaches the Philippines taken from the ISS.  Terrifying for those in it's path, but bloody amazing shots.

There were 2 amazingly bright passes last night. I managed to video one briefly. It's a bit wobbly handed.

Expecting another 2 passes tonight, first one at 20.29 coming from the West, the second will be at 22.05. Also at 21.10 NASA are launching Dragon which carries cargo to and from the ISS (you can watch the launch here http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html . Approximately 20 minutes after launch on the same trajectory as ISS and aslong as there is a clear sky, Dragon will be visible above the UK.

OMG, that was incredible. Watched the launch live on the Internet, then the flight up until Dragon projected off the main rocket, then we went outside and watched it fly over us. WOW

Both ISS & Dragon will be visible again tonight, not sure of times just yet, but as soon as I know, I'll post them.

ISS pass will be at 21.11, then the visible Dragon pass will be at 21.32.

I was out ISS spotting last & was lucky enough to spot another satellite travelling in a different direction just before ISS appeared.

On the news today about a man from Gloucestershire who, from his shed, had a brief chat with a US astronaut on the ISS:

This week the years most spectacular meteor shower hits our skies (literally).

It started last night, and will continue for the next few nights, peeking tomorrow (Wednesday).  

We had a drive up to Kielder last night and the view was spectacular.  The sky from up there is amazing, the amount of stars you can see is just wow. We could also clearly see the Milky Way, plus the amount of satellites, in addition to the ISS, you can see moving across the sky was unbelievable. We also saw at least 9 meteors, the majority just looked like the regular shooting stars you see, but the first one was FANTASTIC, it was huge.  

So if you have a clear sky above you, look up, even better if you can get to somewhere with little light pollution.
