I have a theory about who killed Grant, which I've masked below. Time will tell if I'm right.

I reckon Grant was killed by Ross. When Charlie and Ruby visited Ross he was apparently asleep - they talked to Morag about Charlie kidnapping Grant and not being able to get Grant arrested. But Ross could have been awake, heard everything which was said, and decided to get rid of Grant himself as the only solution which would save Charlie.
