Hi guys.
Light snow this morning, but it turned to rain, so has already gone.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear you had a dizzy spell Hicky.
Good job you didn't hurt yourself. Hope you feel better now. You'll have to be wary of bending down, and not stand up too quickly.
Do you think that has something to do with medication? The meds I'm on can give me dizzy spells at times. Not as bad as that though.

If you are having a flexible cystoscopy, like I had, then you just get a local anaesthetic spray and the whole thing takes about 20 minutes  (plus you have to get undressed and dressed again afterwards).
If you are getting a rigid cystoscopy, then it's a bigger procedure that's used to look beyond the bladder, and you may get a general anaesthetic and take longer.
The letter you got should tell you.

That's great for your lad to have so many options in Australia.
The tornado must have made for an 'exciting' holiday though.

Mollie. Glad you were feeling well enough for a dog walk today.
Hope you get your strength back soon. I like sweet potato mash too.
Yes can't help feeling sorry for Steph. I know she's made a fool of her boyfriend, but she's just very young and finding her way.

Bit strange on The Voice. They passed over that country music girl, who had a great voice (hated the song though), and two turned for the mensa girl who didn't have a good voice at all?

Afternoon Emptybox.

Sunday turned out bad, was too dizzy in the morning so went to out of hours, sat in queue for while, saw many people and ended up in a ward, done every test known to man but they couldn't find anything wrong, did brain scans, chest scans and about 5 tests, still nothing, stayed in overnight and came home at 11am, was in the Stroke ward but they couldn't find sign of that even, so many things could cause it, they said i had a water infection but the bloods were fine, ecg fine, movement tests, maths tests, eye tests eye test swabs, bp weight, height, nothing.

O/H and my lad was at the hospital from 11am till 5pm when i got a bed.

Just cool, sunny and windy here.

Got Dentist Wednesday

Just been for KFC, with chips and the new Gravy, which is rather nice.

Hope Mollie is ok.

Hicky

Sorry to hear about your dizzy spell, I guess it is good news that they have not been able to find anything obviously wrong. Do you think it could be a virus affecting you? There is some weird stuff around now. This bug I have had, has made me feel dizzy and sort of "wooly" in the head for the last few days. Hope whatever it is clears up for you soon, you must be exhausted after going through all those tests. (not much fun for your OH and lad either!).

Good for you going for KFC, you need to make sure you are getting your food intake as you have been feeling dizzy. But as Emptybox says, best to take care bending and standing now.

Emptybox

how are you feeling now? Are you still managing on only one tablet a day med wise? I hope your electric/internet are ok as I hear it is quite stormy up there. Very windy and wet here tonight too. I too feel a bit sorry for Steph, I think she is quite confused with her feelings. But at least she is still in the house.   I much prefer her to Danielle, who I think has been quite nasty at times.

I am nearly better now,....eating just a bit less than normal, but still feel more tired than normal when I do anything.
But have to pull myself together as have to look after mum all afternoon tomorrow.
Music son did concerts in the community with college today...first they went to the nursery, he said the kiddies were so tiny.... as small as our dog he said ... then they played at the special needs school, They loved it he said, and were all dancing around. Then they finished at the old peoples home, where he said they mostly slept through it.  So all in all, the college arranged a good mix of an audience for them to play to.

Corrie time then CBB...I'll will be disappointed when CBB finishes as it is something to relax for in time for 9pm.

Have a good night both. HOpe you feel better tomorrow Hicky. xx

M

Evening both.

Very wet and windy here, but no damage to speak of. And no more floods as far as I know. Not pleasant though.

Really sorry to hear you've had to have a hospital stay Hicky. Strange that they can't pinpoint anything wrong. Perhaps the water infection is what caused it?

Hope you will get better from now on.
Will this affect your scheduled hospital test?

Mollie. Glad you are getting back to your usual self. Hope you'll be OK for looking after your Mum tomorrow.
Your son seems to have played for all ages today?

I'm feeling OK at the moment. Still on my one prescription tablet per day. Still getting a few symptoms all the time, but they differ day by day. But nothing that stops me doing anything. Haven't slept very well the last few nights, but then the howling wind doesn't help.

Steph is a strange one. I think she's quite talented with her acting and singing. And she's quite attractive, when she makes the effort. But most of the time in there she seems like a messy, ragamuffin kid.

Sorry to hear about Terry Wogan.
I didn't much like his style of broadcasting, but he's been there all my life, on the radio or telly.

No Hicky today, hope he is ok and the dizzy has calmed down.

Emptybox

Good job you have had no damage with that bad weather. Winds calmed down here now, but we did have hail today.

Glad to hear you are feeling ok at the moment, and the symptoms are not preventing you doing anything you normally do. I didn't sleep too good either with the wind and hail hammering against the window.

I agree with what you say about Steph. I don't dislike her even though she is a bit mixed up. Glad to see Gemma was the one of the 3 who went, not that I like Danielle though.

Yes very sad about Terry Wogan. he will be missed. A natural sense of humour he had.

Been looking after mum all afternoon, didn't get back till 9.45 as came home with son, who had rehearsals.

Goodnight both xx

M

Evening Mollie.

Very wild and windy here today.

Went into town to renew my prescription, but mostly played about on my computers.

My Brother is visiting on Saturday, so I meant to get on with some housework, but that'll have to wait till tomorrow....maybe.

Yes I hope Hicky is OK, and hasn't taken another turn.
ETA: Mind you, I see he's been twittering today, so he must be alright.

That was a late one, looking after your Mum. Are you completely over your bug thing now?

Yes, I was glad it was Gemma that went, although she has been a bit better recently.
Have to say that John is annoying me now, with his creeping up to Tiffany.
So not sure who I want to win now?

Evening Both.

Wasn't too bad overnight, but at 10am today i started shaking, freezing and had breathing problems.

With my accident on Saturday i hurt my ribs which makes it hard to take all the inhalers in, have been taking Paracetamol to ease that.

Was wondering if it's anything to do with all the coffee i've been drinking.

Probably should be taking no caffeine, my boss had this problem as i remember years ago and it was the coffee.

Been in bed all day with O/H as she's on holiday this week.

Had to cancel my Dentist appointment as i was in no fit state.

Slowly felt better during today, have been eating and drinking.

Had to use the blue inhaler i had, that seemed to help my shortage of breath.

Still not sure what caused it but i'll stick to de-caf for now.

I warmed up during the day and had to take all the cloths i had put on off again.

Sorry, haven't looked up at the posts, had some big hail stones, can't remember when though.

Didn't expect Gemma to go, thought it would be Danielle.

The betting has Tiff to win.

I'll have to see how it goes tonight, in bed.

Hicky

Hicky

so sorry you have been feeling unwell. Do you think you might have one of those weird viruses? The one I had last week made me feel freezing cold, as well as dizzy, and nauseous. Very wise to rest in bed today though. What a shame your accident has left you with painful ribs. I know how painful it can be if you are breathless and have rib damage. I used to have a blue inhaler, they are very good to ease your breathlessness. I hope you feel better soon.

Emptybox

Yes thanks I am well again and eating well too. I was glad though that I got a lift home from mum's tonight, as I was so tired after staying there so late last night. Is your brother and his wife coming? How about the nephew? What have you got planned for the menu? Hope you get some incentive to get that housework done.

Yes that CBB John is a sly one creeping to Tiff now he realises how popular she is. Seems to have forgottten how not long ago, he was the one compaigning to all of the others to get rid of her.

Managed to catch up with a few jobs today and take the dog a walk, and it only drizzled slightly. It would be a miracle if we could get a nice dry period for a few days.

AAaawww not long till CBB finishes which will be a shame, especially as it is so long till the summer one starts. Let's hope in the meantime we get some decent tv shedules to watch.

Goodnight both xx

M

Evening.
Frosty start today, but turned into a not bad day. Quite a bit of sunshine. Not warm though.
Got started on my housework anyway.

Sorry to hear you're not well Hicky.
Sounds like a urinary infection, or a virus? I'm sure your dizzy fall on Saturday didn't help.
If it's a urinary infection you might need antibiotics, and caffeine is definitely not good for the waterworks.
Have you made a doctor's appointment?
Glad you gradually felt better during the day anyway.
Hopefully you can reschedule your dentist appointment.

Hi Mollie. Glad you are well and eating better.
Think it'll just be my Brother and wife. Don't think the nephews want to visit their boring old uncle any more.
Think I'm going to take them out for lunch to the local garden centre, then probably lamb chops for supper. That's the current plan anyway.

Glad you got some jobs done and the dog walked.
Yes it's a pity that CBB is coming to an end, but in a way I'm pleased that I'll be able to catch up with some recordings, and watch some other stuff apart from BB.
Plus I'm really enjoying watching the likes of 10,000BC.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Got the doc out this morning, wee was funny colour, only dizzy as i turned in bed.

Doc gave me seasick tabs to help the dizzy, ans antibiotics for the water works,

Lucky to have O/H to look after, a rather strict nurse, more like a Matron.Had some cornflakes for brekki and had some cheese and crackers midday.

Have been using the blue inhaler as needed.

Mollie, I may have a virus, haven't got a temperature, doc checked everything

Not very talkative, feeling a bit tired, got to take the tablets, and one at 9:30pm

Emptybox, it was quite nice here today, bright but cool,

Yep, CBB ending tomorrow, i wonder if Tiff will win?, i've deleted all the recordings, just couldn't be bothered to watch.

I see X-Factor has been cancelled next year, they have The Voice competing,

Hicky

Hi Hicky.
The doc must think you have an infection if he gave you antibiotics? He wouldn't prescribe those for a virus. Hope they help you, and the dizziness goes away.
At least you're eating a bit anyway.
Had to laugh at your OH being like a strict Matron.

Wouldn't have thought a cystoscopy was a good idea if you have a urine infection? Might make things worse. Perhaps you'd better check with the hospital (if you haven't already)?

Got more housework done today, everything is dusted and hoovered now.
Tomorrow I'll check all those places that I never look, but the SiL does.
Mind you, she always manages to find something.

I see Simon Cowell is saying the X-Factor will be back next year, even if he has to move it to another channel. This could be very interesting if ITV are favouring The Voice.
Wonder if Rita Ora is regretting moving over now?

Should think Tiffany has a fairly good chance of winning.
Don't think I'll bother to vote, as I don't really mind who wins. Now if Kristina had still been there............

Sorry you are still unwell, good job you got the doc out. Yes as Emptybox says, if doc has given you anti biotics he must be treating you for an infection, and if it is a urine one, that can make you feel really poorly. Carers tell me is is quite common too. Hope the meds kick in quick and help sort you. Get your OH (strict matron ), to buy some actimel or live yogurt,. As you probably know, these are good for the bacteria in the gut when you are on anti biotics. Sounds like matron is keeping you well fed, which is important too.

I am wondering if you could of picked something up when you went into hospital for all those pre-op tests?  As we know hospitals are full of germs, so sometimes hard to avoid them.  As Emptybox says, best to avoid the cystocopy until you are fully well. (but I expect the doc will tell you that any way).

Yes I guess Tiff could win, or maybe Darren? Or of course if the young girls vote for who is "fit", then Scotty could be in with a chance. I too am not that bothered who wins this year, but wouldn't like to see John or Danielle win as I don't think they have been very nice.

Emptybox

You must be done in with all that housework. at your SIL managing to find something, she sounds just like my SIL. We only went to visit her and my brother once when the childeren were young, and they made us eat our chips in the kitchen so the smell wouldn't go in the house, (they never offerred us food). They don't have kids and aren't keen on them. Obviously we all had to take our shoes off in the porch, but even then, as we were were leaving my brother had to vacuum the carpet to make sure there was no indentations from our feet in the fluffy carpet, especially as they were having a dinner party that evening.

Good idea to take them out for lunch, not only does it mean you dont' have to bother and clear up after, it will give her less time to find some dust you missed. One year when SIL came to visit we managed to clean the house top to bottom, buy in lots of M  and S type of food and home bake for her. But whilst she sat at the table eating the food, she suddenly said "the grass out the back needs cutting!".   Couldn't believe it, son had cut the front but it started raining so couldn't do the back.

Good luck with the visit, hope the day goes well. At least you won't have to do your housework for awhile now though.

This Xfactor/Voice thing does sounds very interesting. I thought X factor was the worst series so far this year, and The Voice better. So good idea for itv to try and focus on the Voice. Wonder if they will move X factor to itv2 then, just for the die hard fans?

Took the dog a quick walk, but started to drizzle so both of us wanted to come home quick again.

Have a good day and enjoy the final. xx

take care Hicky xxx

M

Hi Mollie.
Dull and wet here today. Very heavy rain and windy this evening.
Pity your dog walk was drizzled on.

Got the rest of my cleaning done.
As you say, I won't need to do it again for a while. I've got a cousin coming to stay overnight in May, so I'll get the hoover warmed up for then.
(I might do it inbetween )

Your SiL sounds more exacting than mine. At least mine has children and a dog. I think she'd like me to take my shoes off at the door though, but I've never offered.
(Crikey Moses!, I hope mine never finds this forum Love her really)

So Scotty T won? When it came down to him or Steph, I wanted Steph to win, so gave her a last minute vote, but it didn't help. Ah well.

Hope Hicky isn't feeling too bad now?

Flip me!!!  ... never thought of that....hope my SIL doesn't find it either, else I am in for it.

I too would of liked to of seen Steph instead of Scott win, think she was a lot more entertaining. Aaawww feel disappointed that we don't have it to watch now. I guess I'll be scrapping the barrell next week trying to find something to watch now. Then it will be roll on summer time BB!

Go on ...surely you can find better things to do than all that housework again, between now and May? Where is your cousin visiting from? Norfolk?

Hope Hicky is a bit better today.

Still no Hicky, and he hasnt' tweeted since 3 Feb, hope he is ok and just resting to get over this illness.

Emptybox

I hope the visit today is going well. How did the lunch out go and what food did you make them? I guess if you had lunch out, then you wouldn't of needed to prepare much food for them.

The weather here today has been just awful! Rain, rain and more rain!

I so hope we get a good summer after all this rubbish weather we have had this winter.

Watching the Voice, then not sure what to watch as no CBB.

M

Hi Mollie.
Visitors are away now. They brought their dog with them, but no nephews.
The weather here was drizzly at times, but not too bad.

We had lunch at the garden centre. Me and my Brother had a 'brunch bun', which was quite substantial. A toasted bun with sausage, bacon and mushroom on it, with salad and coleslaw on the side. My SiL had a Quiche.
We then watched the Calcutta Cup rugby match on the telly.
Turned out they didn't fancy lamb chops so luckily I had 3 portions of stew in the freezer, which we had with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Some trifle from Sainsburys to follow.
Seemed to go down OK.

Yes my cousin is coming up from Norfolk for a holiday to Fort William, in the Highlands, with her fella and 2 kids. They're staying with me for a night on the way up (or the way back, haven't decided yet). Not sure of the date, but likely to be late May.
Luckily I shouldn't have to worry about heating the rooms, or electric blankets or stuff like that, at that time of year.

Hope Hicky is just recuperating, as you say.

Evening Both.

Not sure what keeps happening to my posts, when i try to update the page it asks 'am i sure i want to leave the page' but i an just refreshing.

Can't find any posts sice Tuesday, don't know whats going on.

Feeling a lot better today went out for brekkie so not so bad.

Wasn't dizzy turning in bed so thats good

Got dressed an had a walk around the garden.

Not sure what you have seen or not now.

Had the doc out, had one bad day with the shakes and feeling cold, he gave me anti-bio and sickness pills.

Am on track for the hospital appointment but pity i had to cancel the dentist, will have to set up a new appointment.

Watched the Voice, what a joke, rubbish.

That was ok Scotty winning CBB, but wasn't too bothered.

Hicky

both

Hicky

so good to see you post, I was getting quite concerned as you had not posted for a few days and we knew you had not been well. So I am so pleased and relieved to hear you are on the mend and was even well enough to go out for brekkie. Good job that horrid dizzy in bed has gone now. The docs meds did their job well, good job you called him out.

With your problem posting....are you remembering to press "Post Reply" at the bottom of the screen?  On occasions I have forgotten to do this since they changed the format of the forum, because it is harder to see this box lurking at the bottom, after I have typed in a post. If I don't press that "Post Reply", I get the same message that you got, so have to scroll to the bottom of the page to press it, so my post does not get lost. Hope you can work it out ok now, as we don't want you vanishing again. If it happens you can always let us know via twitter. I had been checking twitter and was concerned when I saw you had not posted here or there since the 3rd, so glad all is well with you now. What date is your hospital appointment? Probably best to make sure the doc checks you are fully recovered before you go for that.

Emptybox

So glad the visit went well. Sounds like you fed them really well.   A nice start with lunch at the garden centre, then what a good job you had the stew in the freezer as they didnt' fancy the chops. Did you take the dog a walk whilst they were there? Did the dog bring his own dinner or did he get a bit of stew too? What sort of dog is it?

Gosh you will be having 4 staying when your cousin comes. Handy they can use you as a stopover on their way to their holidays because that is a long way from Norfolk where they are going. Have you got enough spare beds, or are the kiddies young enough to squash in together or use the sofa?  As you say, lucky it is summer so you don't need to worry about heating.

Managed to take the dog a short walk inbetween the rain and wind yet again! I guess we were lucky to have some dry spells today. Mum was with my fave carer and oh boy does this carer bring out the best in her, she was alert and even managed a few sentences. She spoke more today than she has spoken in a long time. The carer's eyes were filling with tears, she was so pleased.

I am missing CBB tonight. I am watching The Jump. I can't believe though how many injuries there are on this show, it is so dangerous.

Let me know if you spot any good tv coming up for us to watch.

I can hear the rain pouring and pouring and wind howling again.

Goodnight both xx

M

Hi both.

Great to see you back Hicky.
Glad the anto-bios seem to be improving things, and the dizziness has gone.
And you still hope to have your cystoscopy on Tuesday? I would still tell the hospital about your illness though.

Dull and drizzly here today. Just the usual papers and supermarket.
While my Brother was here we went out in my car to try to work out what the noise was exactly. We found there was a heat shield loose underneath, and this is probably rubbing on the prop shaft and making the rattling type noise.
So hopefully it'll be not too bad to fix. He thinks the fixing has probably corroded letting the thing dangle down.
Too wet to do anything about it yesterday or today though.

Mollie, we didn't take the dog for a walk, she just had a run about in the garden.
She's a medium sized black mongrel with wonky ears. Nice natured though.
Glad your Mum was at her best with her favourite carer.
I've got one spare room with a double bed, and a small bedroom (my office/computer room) with a single bed. I also have a fold up bed.
The children is one boy aged 14 and a girl aged 11.
Not sure if they'll be together in the small bedroom, or if they'll want the fold up bed somewhere else? They'll have to work it out.

Didn't see The Voice yesterday, but watched The Jump tonight.
As you say, they seem to be killing them off at a rapid rate.
Surprising that any of the celebs want to take part in it.

Sounds like you might get the worst of storm Imogen Mollie.
Looks like I might escape, except for some more rain.

Evening Both.

A rather wet windy day here, a dry spell during the day i went to the shed, didn't really do anything.

Will get ready for hospital in the morning, don't have to take too much.

Mollie, the anti-bio finish tonight, still dizzy this marning when i sat up in bed, been fine all day though.

I see what you mean about the posting, maybe i didn't press Reply so i lost the post, it must go back to how it was.

Emptybox, yes, if something is rubbing then a part has come loose, brackets don't last for ever, shouldn't cost much to fix.

Didn't watch the Jump, they are calling for it to be banned, it's a disaster from the start, doubt if they can even get insurance, who would insure you?

This storm Imogen is playing havoc, seen some vids, wow, horrific.

Hicky

Hicky

hope you are well today and haven't lost any posts today.

Emptybox

Yes this time we got the storm instead of it heading up to the North.
the wind was awful, they had to close one of the bridges to England. Lucky the one OH used stayed open though. But he said it was very windy on the motorway.
Good job this time you escpaed it, and we were lucky we were not one of the thousands round here to have a power cut.

That was great that your brother was around to help you work out what was wrong with your car. Hope you can fix it ok when you get some drier weather. The doggie sounds cute, bet she loved running around a different garden. Sounds like you have plenty of facilities to cater for a young family overnight, it will be a nice change for you to have a family visit in the summer.

Yes the injurieis are shocking in the Jump this year, can't understand anyone wanting to risk such injuries even for money. Beth's back injury and op sounds awful.

I think the wind is at last calming down now. You could hardly stand in it today, and it woke me howling around the house and rattling the windows about 4am.

Not much on tv again tonight, but at least I did have my double Corrie to watch.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hicky

we posted together. As you did manage to post, it does look like you were doing the same thing as I was doing. All to do with the change in format here, but hopefully we will get into the habit of looking for the "Post Reply" now.

Sorry you were still a bit dizzy this morning, but glad it cleared. I hope all goes well at hospital tomorrow, don't forget to remind them you have been unwell and on anti biotics.

Yes I did wonder how they got insurance for The Jump. It seems to be even more dangerous this year, and I am not comfy watching it if I have to watch people injuring themselves so badly.

Goodnight Hicky x

M

Evening both.
Drizzly here, but calm anyway.

Sorry to hear you got the worst of the storm Mollie, but at least your power stayed on, and your OH's route to work wasn't blocked.
Sounds like it was rather wild weather for you as well Hicky?
Wonder what the next storm will be called? 'Jimmy'?

Sorry to hear you are still getting the dizzy spells Hicky, even though the course of anti-bios are coming to an end.
Will be thinking of you as you have your cystoscopy tomorrow, and feeling thankful it's not me having it.
Hopefully you'll be able to get some food while you are at the hospital.

Didn't realise they were wanting to ban The Jump? They were already talking about next year's series.
It is too dangerous really though.

Watched the return of 'The X-Files', now Benidorm on +1.
Was never a huge X-Files fan, but I do like Gillian Anderson.

emptybox

quick Hi from me as I was very late getting home from mum's, as waited for son to finish at his rehearsals to save getting a bus.

Hicky

I hope things went ok at the hospital today and you are home and resting by now.

Emptybox

did you get chance to fix the car or was it too wet again?

Yes that Jump needs to come to an end now.

Been rushing around all day today, as had to get bus to mum's this afternoon, and still haven't managed to finish the VAT yet. Must get myself organised tomorrow.

Goodnight both xx

M

Hi Mollie.
Sounds like you've had a busy day?
Hope you manage to get on with the VAT tomorrow.

Drizzly again today. Haven't done anything about the car yet. At least now I know it's not urgent.

Unfortunately my youngest nephew got run down by a car today.
No major damage, but he was taken to hospital by ambulance for a scan. He's got two broken teeth, a very sore neck and cuts and bruises.
He walked out from behind a bus looking at his phone, silly boy. The elderly driver couldn't avoid him. Seemingly the windscreen was broken.
Brother and SiL worried for a while.

Hope everything went OK for Hicky today, and he hasn't had too many bad after effects.

Watched Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire, then The Great British Benefits Handout on 5+1, then one of my recordings (Beowulf).

Evening Both.

(Post from Tuesday night) i posted it but when i looked Wednesday night it hadn't gone, or they are coming back out, no idea.

--------------------------------------------------------------

It went ok today, got to the hospital at 12.45, went down at 2:30, back up in half an hour i think, got a cup of tea and toast, left at just after 5pm when O/H picked me up.

The surgeon said the bladder looked fine but took samples anyway to test, they will let me know the results.

Mollie, yes we posted together, it's also hard to watch the Jump, i suppose they wouldn't show accidents but i can't watch it when we know those jumping.

At least i didn't lose the post this time, i know i have lost a few recently.

Emptybox, it was a stiff cystoscope, not sure why, they put me to sleep as well.

Have you looked further into the noise in the car?

Have to drink lots of liquid for a few days, how we suffer.

Evening Both.

Not sure what is going on here, posted last night and made sure it was on the thread, tonight i'm looking at the thread and my post isn't on, it's still in the posting box, i had to post it again.

Went out for brekkie and had a look around a garden centre, not had a bad day.

Weather beautiful and sunny all day.

Waterworks been good today, cleared up after the intrusion, eating well, drinking lots of liquids to clear system out.

Now a rather nervous wait for the biopsy results i suppose.

Have ordered some different plant labels, the ones i'm using that i bought on line seem to break off with the wind, it's like they are too thick, these new ones are made for a special industrial printer so i hope they are more successful, if so i will change all the others i put on.

Emptybox, That was awful, your Nephew, these phones are going to get a lot of children injured or killed, he was very lucky to survive.

 Posted 7.30pm Wednesday 10th Feb.

Just Editing to add date so i know it posted.

Strange how your post vanished, then came on later. Oh well at least it got here in the end. So glad things went ok for you yesterday. Yes it is never nice waiting for the results of anything. Good that the surgeon said the bladder looked ok though, and that the waterworks have been working well today. Your brekkie out was well deserverd I reckon. Lovely to go to the garden centre too, a nice sunny day like today was reminds us spring is just around the corner. Bring it on I say.

Did you get chance to have a pancake for pancake day? Daughter made us all some yesterday and there is some mix left now, so daughter is making me another one.

Emptybox

that is shocking with your nephew. Very unpleasant for him to smash teeth, but thank goodness he was not more seriously injured. I bet your brother and SIL were so upset and worried. I did just the same as a teenager coming home from school, and we didn't have mobiles then. But I wasn't bad hurt and didn't break the windscreen. But did have a huge bruise and still have the indentation on my leg now. Did he have the day off school today?

Yes it is good you know now you can take your time with the car. Still haven't finished the VAT yet, better get it off to accountant tomorrow else she will ask for it.

Not much to watch tonight, will watch A and E I think.

How nice it was to get a sunny day today, so hope we get plenty more sunny days. The dog enjoyed her walk at last. And so did I.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

Had pancakes tonight, o/h made them for us, had lemon and sugar on them.

Meant to tell you, my Lad in Oz is after a job in NZ, his GF may be able to get one with him again, he's staying in a rented place for now while his Penthouse Suit is being built.

He has also bought a piece of land in Mission Beach North Queensland, it's 2242 sqm he could build a house or just keep it as 1400 sqm is forest.

Just been watching whatever TV is on when i look through the listings.

so glad you got your pancakes, I don't like fancy fillings either, just lemon and sugar, I think lime is really nice too. I enjoyed mine that daughter made me tonight. That will be a nice experience if your lad and his gf get jobs in New Zealand. He is doing well buying land and building the penthouse too.

Watching A and E now.

Goodnight xx

Evening both.
Cold, frosty but mostly sunny day. Went into town to collect my prescription and do some shopping.

Hicky, good that you came through the procedure, and haven't many problems with your waterworks since. Yes, they say drinking a lot of water for a couple of days afterwards is important.
I suspect they used the rigid cystoscope because they wanted to take a biopsy? Not sure if that's as easy with the flexible one?
As you say you'll have a nervous wait for the results, but good that they say it looked clear.

Wonder why you posts aren't posting? Haven't seen any problems with mine.
That's interesting about your lad going for a job in New Zealand. Hope he gets it.

Hi Mollie, that was nice of your daughter making you pancakes. I haven't bothered myself.
Yes the nephew was very lucky. He's at college, but I would imagine he would take the day off, with cuts and bruises; not sure?
I remember when I was at university and walking to a lecture, I walked out into a road (in a dwam probably?) and into the side of a van that was passing. A couple of seconds earlier and I'd have been in front of it. No damage though, I was just embarrassed.
Hope you get the VAT off tomorrow.

I was eating a nut today and felt a crunch, and unfortunately I've broken a bit off one of my back teeth. It was one that already had a big filling, so the actual tooth round the edge was quite thin. I'll have to make another dentist appointment I suppose. Hopefully there'll be enough tooth left for him to refill it, but I'm not sure?

Watched Posh Pawn then later 10,000 BC.

Hi guys.

Very frosty and sunny morning, but the rain came on in the afternoon.

Rang the dentist first thing, and was lucky, as he had an appointment at 5pm.
However driving there, the police had closed the road due to a bad accident, and I had to go the round about way, down all these single track lanes, and I thought I was going to be late.
As it was the dentist was running late as well, and I didn't get in to see him till 5.30pm. As that was his usual finishing time he was a bit rushed. However he did manage to refill the tooth (without any local anaesthetic).
I just chose amalgam, as he said if I wanted the white filler I'd have to make another appointment. He said the tooth may eventually need a crown, but it should be good now for a while.
Thinking about it, that filling must be about 30 years old, so I guess it's done good to last that long?

Just going to have something light for supper, as I'm not supposed to chew on that side for the rest of the day.
Not sure what to watch at 9pm? But it'll be 10,000BC at 10pm

Hicky

hope you are well and over your op now. Has it taken you awhile to get over the general anisethtic?

Emptybox

that is so annoying with a tooth breaking from a nut. That is the trouble with nuts, they are lovely and good for us too, but hard to bite. Hopefully the dentist will be able to patch it up.

I finsihed the VAT, but haven't managed to get it off yet. Will need to do that tomorrow.

Caught a cold off son. Such a nuisance as I will need to get a carer for Saturday now, as don't want to risk giving it to mum. Not a bad one so far, hope it doesn't last long. will take my ecanacea, and go to bed early.

Evening Both.

Not a bad day here, sunny all day again with hardly any wind, only about 6C.

Went out for a meal this afternoon, had Mac & Cheese, so nice as well, going to make some of my own when i get the stuff to.

Will have to rebook an appointment with the dentist soon as well.

Emptybox, my waterworks went back to normal the day after the procedure, very grateful fo that.

Thats a blow damaging your tooth, good job he could fix it, that was lucky him running late just when you arrive late.

Don't know why the posts messed up, oh well.

Mollie, the anaesthetic was less of a problem than i thought, i think it was only 10 minutes and i was fine, i held the nurses hand while i came round, so comforting.

Had some of my Bacon again this morning, washed the new piece of belly pork and dried it, will slice it in a day or 2.

Evening Emptybox.

Not bad today, 6C max just an odd rain shower, sunny most of the time.

3C at the mo, cold for the next week by the looks of it.

Didn't do anything though, my tree wash i ordered came, also the new pack of plant label ties came, the last lot i got keep breaking with the wind, these are thinner so more flexible.

O/H did some shopping on the way home from work, yummy, fish, steaks, beef, the stuff to make lots of Mac & Cheese, Yoghurt, cakes, pork scratchings, fresh oranges and orange juice, crab meat, and on and on.

Watching American Pickers on Dave.

Hope Mollie isn't too stressed out, a weekend ahead anyway,

Hicky

Evening Emptybox.

Just watching the Voice.

Just made a Mac & Cheese dinner from scratch, enough for 3 meals so will freeze 2/3d's.

American Pickers are a company of 3 people, 1 girl who stays in the shop, and 2 great guys who travel America looking for old stuff to buy, they are very experienced and make a great program, well worth watching, i've seen hundreds i suppose.

They are even commissioned by Museums to get them stuff, they love old signs, old motorcycles, old cars, stuff of ships, tanks, old war stuff.

It was about 5C out today, went to the shed but didn't stay, it was 10C in the shed so the heater is working, i have the stat set and it on a timer, it checks the temperature every 2 hours, if it's low the heater can stay on for 15 minutes.

Stopped the sickness pills today to see what happens, still get dizzy in the night if i sit up at the side of the bed, but been ok all day.
