Hicky

hope your time in the Premier Inn is comfortable. Glad things are starting to fall into place now, must of been hard leaving your home to go into a hotel. What a nice feeling having that ÂĢ5k for doing the garden in your hand.   Gosh 3 skips, that is a lot of stuff, but I guess to be expected as you had lived in your house for so long .

Glad you are pleased with your keyboard.

Emptybox

did you get that heavy rain today? It has been nice here today and incredibly mild for October, but think it is due to cool down soon.

How are you now? Still feeling well I hope.

Oh, so you reckon HIcky's skip is for the house he has moved into? I must of misunderstood. Gosh that is awful, surely he can charge them for moving all their damn rubbish? What a cheek some people have.

Been busy with mum, but we did manage to go and see Rhydian in concert last night, what a rush it was dropping mum off first and settling her with the minders. Such a nuisance living so far from her now. Enjoyed the concert though.

OH fitted a curtain over mum's front door today in the hope it stops her opening her front door and we changed the telecare to cut in earlier as it was so late hanging round till 9pm for it ti cut in and mum needs to go to bed earlier now the hour has changed.

Emptybox...telecare only sends the police round if they don't get a proper  reply via their intercom phone system, and mum set off her door alarm we have on, so she could probably not hear the telecare operator asking her if she is ok. (similiar to a warden system).

goodnight both xxx

M

Hi guys.

Yes, it was very wet here. Pelting rain for a good couple of hours midday, and light rain for most of the rest of the day. It is quite mild though.

Still feeling fine though, fingers crossed.

Hicky, it must be nice to have the money through now, so you can get on with your garden. A lot of work ahead of you yet though.

Hope the Premier Inn proves more suitable for you. Is that the one that Lenny Henry advertises?

Hi Mollie. Glad you managed to enjoy your Rhydian concert.

Ah I see, it's the Telecare people who call the police in, if they are worried. I thought your Mum had a hotline.

Hope the curtain over the door does the trick.

Stuck to CH4 tonight. Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners then Can't Get the Staff.

emptybox

Evening both.)

Yes, skips are for the new place to clear the rubbish, will need more though.

In remier Inn at the mo, very nice, a lot better.

On my new keyboard, went towork today, not many more to do now.

Have to ark mles away now, then get a park & ride bus back to get in the factory.

Wifi better here, $10 pound a week, only got dollar sign it seems.

Bathroom and ensuit ordered, flooring ordered, got the 10% off as well.

The room here is on the ground floor right by reception, great.

Cant move the ost box to see what is behind, dont have a mouse.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

A few teething probs with your keyboard it seems, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.

A nice day here, so I got some grass cutting done, but the grass was still soaking wet. Probably won't be suitable to cut grass much longer this season.

Glad Premier Inn is suiting you better, and the wifi is a bit cheaper. Being on the ground floor is a plus as well.

The Apprentice was good. Don't think he's ever fired all of them before?

emptybox

Hicky

glad you are feeling more settled at the Premier Inn. My OH has stayed at them a few times when working away, and thinks they are good. Not so keen on Travelodge though. Great you can get that 10% off for your bathroom/ensuite? Is that for your B and Q Wednesday?

Emptybox

so pleased you are still feeling ok. Nothing worse than feeling rough. Yes I guess wet grass is the way ahead now we are into November. OH cut ours earlier this week, but it was soaking here too.

Yes I enjoyed the Apprentice too, true never seen them all fired before. Probably for the best as there as so many of them, I can't remember who is who.

Going to view a house before we pick mum up this afternoon.

Still very mild here for the time of year.

Have a good day both. xx

M

Evening Both

Things coming along fine.

Central Heating going it, found someone to take the old radiators and cooker etc.

An Aerial bloke coming to see me tomorrow.

Lucky to have water on still and the lights and power.

Leaving the garden for now to let some of the others room to work, met some neighbours, all lovely.

Will have to get someone in to see what is needed to clear the growth and roots.

I've cut the trees in the front down using my electric saw.

I might start in the back, it would leave an awful lot of growth to be got rid of.

Didn't see The Apprentice this week, not to worry.

Jut did 5 hrs at work Wednesday but it's better not getting in so early.

Yes Mollie, the 10% off Wednesday saved a lot of money, O/H got her own card as i was at work when she was picking the tiles and flooring.

She wants to do all the work in the Bungalow within her 35k budget.

Hi Hicky and Mollie.

Damp day here again.

Hope you like the house you're viewing today Mollie.

I'm just beginning to learn some of the Apprentice candidates' names. I like Roisin and Katie, although they're on opposite teams at the moment.

Hi Hicky.

Sounds like things are coming on apace at your new place.

Glad the neighbours seem friendly, and you've got power and water on.

Bought a juicer today. Just a fairly cheap one. Not really sure why - bit of a whim. Didn't have much in the house to juice, but I did some of my excess home-grown tomatoes and some celery. Didn't taste too bad, but not sure if it'll get much use?

I'll buy some more veg to try at the weekend though.

Watched 'The Great Fire' and recorded the David Attenborough thing.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Another busy day in the garden, throwing away flower tubs and cleaning up the old shed, will take it to pieces tomorrow.

Cut branches off a tree so i could get to the boundry fence.

Guttering etc arrived, windows arrived.

Electrician wiring now.

Had the Aerial man in, sorted the points for the dish & aerial.

Radiators piped up, more labour arriving tomorrow.

3rd skip going tomorrow, and 2 more being delivered tomorrow.

Miss my mouse, can't move the post box.

Hoe your viewing went ok Mollie?

Hope you are feeling well Emptybox?

A good rest for the weekend anyway,

.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Sounds like you've got a lot done today.

You're really going back to basics if you're replacing windows, guttering, radiators etc? Hope your budget holds out.

Nice to get everything just how you want it though.

Not bad weather here, got a few hours work done, even though I wasn't feeling 100%. Had a bad night last night, and feeling a bit off today. Got a bit of a headache tonight. Hope I can get rid of it by bedtime.

When I'm on my tablet I often open up a second instance of the site in another tab, just so I can read what's under the posting box.

Watched 'Rome: The World's First Superpower', Alex Polizzi then Gogglebox.

No sign of Halloween around here. Suits me fine.

emptybox

Hicky

glad things are coming along nicely with the new home.

Lots of things to keep you occupied in the garden. Is your bed comfy in hotel?

Emptybox

sorry to hear you have a bad head, and don't feel too good, hope it clears soon. You might of already done this, but if I get a bad head, I drink lots of water (in case that has caused it), and take Headex tablets. Try not to look at pc as it can make it worse. Maybe you are just worn out trying to get back to work, after not being well for so long? Not easy for you trying to do your job whilst not being fully well yet.

We went out to see Paul Potts tonight, really enjoyed it, did me good after a stressful busy day with mum.  Daughter and son stayed home, so daughter opened the door to give the kiddies sweeties. Nice kids on this estate, most came with adult, and were very polite she said,so that was ok.But I am not keen on halloween, too many trouble makers use it as an excuse in some areas to make trouble.

Enjoyed Gogglebox.

Goodnight both x

hope you sleep ok tonight Emptybox

M

Hi Mollie.

Glad you enjoyed Paul Potts last night, and your daughter was able to deal with the trick or treaters.

I managed to get rid of my headache with paracetomol before bed, so had a better night last night, and not feeling bad today.

I think this illness just comes and goes. There may be triggers as to what makes it worse, but I haven't really worked them out yet. Not even sure if the antibiotics are dampening the symptoms or not?

When I am feeling bad, it only seems to be for a day or two now, rather than a longer period, so maybe one day it'll disappear completely?

I've got my appointment to see the Urologist at the end of November, so I'll have to see if that brings any answers. I've also got the scan inbetween then and now.

Quite a nice day here, if a bit windy. Will probably do some work after lunch.

Evening Both.

Everything going to plan, windows in, central heating finished tomorrow.

Wiring nearly finished.

All outer doors being done tomorrow.

Have been cutting some growth down to find the back fence.

Have bought the new pans.

Skips 4 & 5 on front garden.

Hope you are better tonight, havent been sleeoing too good but this lace very nice.

Watching Strictly at the mo.

Hope you mum is ok Mollie, and you, i missed giving out sweets last night.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Glad everything is going to plan.

It's an awful lot of work though. Makes me kinda glad I'm staying put, for now.

Pity you aren't sleeping so good. Is it all the things you have on your mind right now?

Got one of my big lawns finished for the winter. One more ticked off the list anyway.

I think it's supposed to be colder and wet next week, which is why I did it today.

Feeling not too bad tonight, so hopefully I'll get a reasonable night.

Hope you do too Hicky.

emptybox

Emptybox

thank goodness you are feeling not too bad tonight, considering you have done a big lawn too, that is real good news.

Hopefully the "off" days will become more infrequent now, and finally go away. Good that you have your scan and specialist dates though so you get checked out.

Did you manage your sphag bol tonight? Hope so.

Hicky

glad things are still moving along nicely with the new home for you. Great to hear the neighbours are decent. Shame you aren't sleeping well. Is it because it is not your own bed that you are used to, or because you have things on your mind you need to do for the new home?

5 skips, what a cheek leaving all that rubbish.

Went out tonight with OH and sons, to see son's guitar teachers concert, wasn't keen on going out, as it does me in with mum to look after, and had to rush to settle mum in bed first. But enjoyed it when I got there, and enjoyed the glass of wine and choccy I had too.

Catching up with X factor now.

don't have chance to watch the dancing as well unfortunately.

goodnight both, hope you both sleep better tonight. xxx

Yes Mollie, bed very nice, in fact the whole place is lovely, staff great as well, 24hr.

And having a restaurant 5 metres away is great.

Been busy today, sorted the garage out, now got 10 sets of racking up.

Can move around now, had to make a section of the garage into a kitchen as there was so much going on in the bungalow, still throwing rubish into the skips, am on the 5th now.

All windows and external doors now fitted, except for the new outside front door, the internal front is in, the new French windows are fitted.

Next weekend they start the Gutters and Soffets.

Heating system just about finished, 1st fix on electrical finished, sorted our requirements with the Aerial man, we are having both Aerial & Dish points in many places from 8 ports on the Dish.

Started taking the wooden low level shed to bits but its very well built, good timber but its in the way of the summer house.

Will have to knock the brick built thingy down, it's like 1 yd square and 2 ft high, no idea what it is or was.

Hope you aren't too bad healthwise Emptybox, taking a tablet for a headache will help you get a better sleep.

I am sleeping better here than i did in the other place.

Work tomorrow, but busy in the bungalow so am going to try and work next after tomorrow on Friday.

Hicky

Hi both.

Nice sunny day here, so I'll hopefully get some work done this afternoon, as I'm feeling OK.

Glad you enjoyed your guitar concert Mollie. Gives you a break from worries about your Mum.

Don't work too hard today Hicky.

Glad Premier Inn is suiting you.

Why have you had to make a kitchen in the garage? Is that just for making cups of tea and things, while you are there working?

You're really getting on with things now.

Yes, better to get all your aerial and satellite points in at the beginning.

I've bought a second hand android phone on Ebay; a Moto G with 16GB storage for ÂĢ77. Will probably arrive at the end of the week.

It's to replace the one I was given by my Brother a year or so ago, which has become unreliable.

emptybox

Good afternoon both

Hicky

glad you like the hotel.   Hope you are taking some "before" and "after" pictures of the bungalow, so we can see all the changes you have made. I take it as the kitchen is in the garage, you are eating out? Do you get a cooked brekkie at the hotel when you don't get one at work? Very handy having a resteraunts attached to the hotel. We stayed in a Premier when we visited OH in Plymouth and we enjoyed brekkie there.

Hope work was not too busy today for you.

Emptybox

pleased to hear you are feeling ok today, hope you managed to fit in a bit of work whilst it was dry. Feels cooler here today and heavy showers/sun/cloud all mixed up.

Been to the last of my dementia course meetings today, then the dementia  society lady is coming out to discuss help with me in a couple of weeks, so at least I will have someone else to advise.

Mum coming back from day centre on bus today, so am nervous as it is the first day she will be sitting up the back with the added restraint, because she tried to get off the bus last time when it wasn't her stop. Hope she doesn't get one of her panic attacks. Tried to pre-prepare tea as it is so hard to get anything done when I have to watch her. Having a vegetable pie and mash from Marks today. I like those.

Have you noticed we are getting adverts for IACGMOOH now? Not long now till it starts.

Have a good day both. xx

M

Evening Both.

Yes Mollie, IAC on soon, not sure whe yet.

Emptybox, we make the tea and sandwiches in the garage because of the dust and men everywhere, and floor up.

I'm getting the Powerline type T-Link adapters built into the sockets so i don't have to buy separate ones.

I can get lengths of deck bearer from Wicks which is cut out ready to fit together, and they have a nice deck board, 28mm x 140mm and in whatever length you want.

Am going to work out the price difference between that way and getting a deck kit, which of course has a lot more work to install.

That seems a good price for the phone Emptybox, you can't go wrong with that.

I keep forgetting to take pictures, will take some more tomorrow Mollie,

The garage kitchen is just for snacks and that for the workers, we buy milk, bread, cheese, ham butter etc and can make snacks.

We eat everywhere, in different restaurants, snack bars, butty caravans, anywhere we can.

With the digs it is probably costing about 600 a week, but can't do much about that.

O\H has just bought a steam wallpaper stripper and the DIL is going to do it while O\H looks after the baby.

Don't half miss my mouse, very hard without it.

Hicky

Evening Again.

O\H wants the Gazebo position changed as she wants to see it and walk straight to it from the double doors of the lounge.

Had soup and a meal in the restaurant here, cottage pie and chips.

Been working out the costs of the decking, but with it changing its a problem, can't change it on the computer as its in store. It seems to work out at 44 pound a square metre.

Based on the original design it works out at 1,500 pound.

Hicky

Hi all.

Pouring with rain here today, so no work.

Got a heap of ironing done.

Slight headache again, but otherwise OK.

Didn't realise you could get powerline adaptors built into the electrical sockets Hicky? Very useful to have the opportunity to get all this stuff installed before you move in.

As long as your OH decides on the gazebo position before you start building it.

Hi Mollie. Yes I've noticed all those IACGMOOH ads.

Glad that dementia course has been of benefit, and you are getting additional advice from the Dementia Society. It all helps when dealing with your Mum, I'd imagine.

I guess it's CH 4 tonight for me - Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners then 'You Can't Get The Staff'.

emptybox

Evening All.

Another busy day, as you can imagine.

Been looking at inside doors and skirting board.

May get Oak skirting for the hall and dining\lounge and pine for the bedrooms as it will be painted.

Took the small shed into bits, 3 sides, 2 doors and a roof, all built of fairly good timber, but it's going in the skip somehow.

Knocked the brick built thingy down.

Found some good wood at Jewsons for the raised beds, it's 2400 x 200 x 100 treated, if i get 8 it will make 1 double hight raised bed 3.6 x 1.2m.

DIL stripping the wall paper off, she's a good worker as well.

Soil pipes in for Toilets.

Waiting fir delivery of some items.

Had a little rain here as well Emptybox, it didn't last long.

Hope the headache doesnt bother you too much.

Have you had any tests back at all yet?

Hope things are not so bad for Mollie, such a test of strength.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Well done in getting the shed and the brick structure dismantled.

Bet you're glad of your DiL's help?

Luckily my headache has gone for the moment.

I have the scan on the 12th so will probably get the results a week or so later.

Then I have an appointment with the specialist on the 27th, so I probably won't know exactly what's wrong until then. It's very frustrating.

Quite enjoyed You cCan't Get The Staff, especially the old gardener who didn't want to retire.

emptybox

quick hi from me...busy sorting mum's presciptions etc out, her dementia getting worse, so the psychiatric part of hosptial will increase her meds to help the anxiety. And had to go to college with kids to sort their finance forms today, as well as endless washing. Due to her dementia, mum is incontinent most nights now, which is horrid for her (and me washing wise!). But I will battle on to keep her out of a home.

Emptybox

sorry to hear you had a bit of a headache today, hope it clears up and you sleep ok. Are you still eating fine?

Hicky

don't forget to start taking some piccies of the house for us. That is good that DIL can help you, I am sure you love looking after the babe for her whilst she is helping you.   Oak and pine sounds nice. Hope you managed to plan the gazebo ok and it stays within budget.

time for me to go to bed for a bit of a read, viewing another house tomorrow, the last one was saw was an absolute mess, and far too expensive for what they were asking. Didn't like it at all. The one we are giong to see tomorrow we have viewed once and liked but need to check how much roughly it would take to do the work we would need to on it.

goodnight both xxx

M

Evening folks.

Very wet overnight here, but some sunshine today, so I got a couple of jobs done this afternoon. The grass was very wet though.

Probably only 2 or 3 places left to give a final cut to, and even they might not need doing.

Still hedges and tidying up to do after that though, if the weather allows.

Reasonable night last night, and feeling OK today. Appetite fine at the moment.

Very hard going for you with your Mum Mollie.

I guess making sure she's not in pain or anxious is the main thing now.

Good luck with the house viewing.

Yes Hicky, it would be good to see some pics of work in progress.

Apprentice night again. Hope Roisin and Katie don't get the chop.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Its been a glorious day here as well, sun all day, pity its so low.

Had another busy day, am hiring a gardener to help me sort the back garden out.

Its the person next doors gardener who is going to help out.

He has already cleared the front and dug up the roots of the bushes.

He starts in the back tomorrow, he has got a chainsaw anyway.

I'm at the Docs in the morning for a check up.

Wall stripping almost finnished, have to strip the lounge/dining room ceiling as it has been papered.

BT arrived at 8am, have got my fast broadband on now, 80mbps download and 20 upload, original phone on now as well.

Sorry to her that your mum is worse Mollie, such an awful thing.hope this house is more suitable for you.

Hope you can get some jobs done in this nice weather Emptybox?

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Hope your checkup goes OK tomorrow.

It's always handy to have a man with a chainsaw.

(I don't have a chainsaw )

That's a fantastic broadband speed. Just wish I had even a tenth of that.

Well done on getting that all sorted out.

Enjoyed Apprentice, but that bloomin' James should have been sacked for his stupid sing-songs.

Enjoyed The Apprentice, some right clowns in the last 12.

I was going to buy a chainsaw a couple of months ago but O/H moaned as we didn't have any trees t cut.

Now i do though.

I should be able to watch anything with that broadband speed.

I have had to reset the HUDL2 as it didn't seem to be charging, tonight it said 15%, when i reset it it came up and said there was an update for it, i wanted it to update but yu can't update unless the battery is 50% or more so i had to wait, but it was charging so i waited, it then updated as it gave me the option after it reached 50%. it's now on 71% so i am very pleased.

I will need to download any apps again though.

Hicky

both

Hicky

hope the check up at the docs go ok. Do you feel the meds are helping the pain in your knees now?

Sounds like you are making rapid progress in the garden. Lucky we had such a good day weather wise today to help with that.

Good that you have your broadband sorted, I know in the past they have taken weeks to sort that for us when we have moved. Did you go for the BT fibre optic?

Emptybox

so pleased to hear you are feeling fine at the moment and eating well. That is good you only have a few places to cut now, I know it must of been such a worry for you about getting work done whilst you felt unwell.

I too was not happy who went on the Apprentice, I thought that lady was nice, and the coach singing was cringeworthy. Think they left James in for us to laugh at though as he is such an idiot.

Managed to get mum into bed just in time to go and enjoy watching the ]

It was a lovely dry night, so lots of people heavy traffic, but it was worth it. So lovely watching the fireworks standing with the crowds on the beach. They are set off over the sea.

We really liked the house. It does need some work, but if we buy it probably won't be able to do it for awhile as it is near the top of our budget. The agent said they would look at offers though, so we will make a reasonable offer and see what they say.

Goodnight both. xx

M

Evening Both.

It was only a check up at the Dentist this morning, said Docs by mistake, called in the Docs to change my address.

A quick clean 18 pound at the Dentist.

It was raining this morning but my heler never stopped, he just kept cutting and digging up roots.

Yes Mollie, high speed Fibre, very high, 80/20. the fastest i will ever have.

Getting skip 6 tomorrow, that will soon get filled though, will need to hire a machine to chew up the tree branches, 150 pound a time.

I cut up the sides and top of the old wooden shed, my electric saw did that.

My helper used the hedge trimmer to take half of the growth off then was digging up the roots.

His chain saw that had been lent out was no good, couldnt find new chain so bought a chain saw to get the big tree down.

Never bothered with the fireworks.

glad the dentist visit went ok and that you are all clean and shiny now.

Sounds like you have a good gardener there if he never stopped despite the inclement weather. 6 skips now, that is a whole lot of rubbish. Hope you are pleased with the new chain saw. How have your progressed inside and outside the house today, or was it a work day?

Emptybox

no post from you for a couple of days, not like you, so hope you are still keeping well and sleeping ok.

Cool here today with some heavy showers.

OH had to fix mum's telecare sensor back onto front door as it fell off. Lucky he got new sticky thing from The Range, they seem to sell lots of handy stuff in there when we are in a rush.  We bought mum one of those junk call blockers but found out it blocks the telecare too, so if we can't work a way round it, will have to return it.

Looking forward to Gogglebox tonight, especially as they are premiering the John Lewis Christmas ad during it. I heard they spent millions on it.

goodnight both, have a good evening x

M

Evening Mollie.

Gardener been here today again, still digging up hundreds of roots from along the side fenceline, a nightmare.

House coming along ok, walls stripped ready for painting, walls filled around the electrical boxes, data cables have been run in as well so internet wired to all the rooms now.

My new Wok arrived today.

They should be fitting the new gutters and soffets toorrow, i'll try and get the aeriel man here next week, have ordered the double swing spring hinges for the 2 doors of the lounge.

Haven't ordered the Oak veneer doors yet, need 2 with glass section and 4 without.

As you say Mollie, hope empybox is ok.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Yes emptybox is fine, he was just preoccupied with setting up his new phone yesterday.

Pretty damp here. Went to the supermarket today, as I'm getting visitors at the weekend.

Hi Mollie. Pity you are having problems with your Mum's telecare system.

Forgot all about Gogglebox for some reason. I was watching BBC1.

Hi Hicky. Your gardener is made of sterner stuff than me. First sign of rain, and I head for the van.

Glad you are making good progress now.

You shouldn't have to reinstall your apps after an update to the Hudl.

My new phone is on Android 4.4.4, whereas my tablet is still on 4.0.4.

Phheeww, thank goodness for that, you got me a bit worried then.

Glad you are well and just enjoying your new phone.

Hope the weekend with the visitors goes well. Is it your brother and family, and are they coming just for a day or longer? Hope you found something nice at the supermarket to buy.

M

Good morning both xx

Hicky

gosh clearing the garden sounds like a big job. Were there a lot of trees all around? Were they those big fir trees? Good idea to have sockets for the internet in all rooms. That is the advantage of buying a house that needs a lot of work, you can do it how you want. Did you use the internet to find the tradesmen or use ones know to you or others you know? We are probably going to buy a house that needs work, so will have to find tradesmen.

Emptybox

hope you have a good day with your visitors. Sphag bol tonight?

Pouring with rain this morning.

I thought the penguin ad on Gogglebox for John Lewis was very good, Brilliant amination.

have a good day both xxx

M

Hi Mollie.

Yes it's my Brother and family coming tomorrow for the day.

I went to the supermarket yesterday so I could get the housework done today.

Place all hoovered and dusted now.

It'll be spag bol tonight, but I'm going to experiment with gluten free spaghetti (i.e not made with wheat}. Not sure if it'll make any difference, but I've seen a pattern of me not having a good night on a saturday, after my usual spag bol.

Just experimenting with these various foods at the moment.

Good luck with your offer for that house you like.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Busy again in the garden, helper off till Wednesday.

I am cutting up branches for the skip.

Was in the corner of the garden getting rid of barbed wire and heaven knows what.

They were here today doing the gutters and soffets again, Electrician here and pipe fitters, toilets never arrived as they messed the delivery up again.

Most downlights fitted, i'm having 51, some sockets fitted, having 40 twin.

Yes Mollie, the back and R/H fence line was coverd with growth, bushes and trees growing out from the fence for 3 to 6 foot, growth at the back fence is growing 15 ft high, think its ivy on trees in the section outside the fence.

You should always use tradesmen that have been mentioned to you from those that have used them, we never get someone not recomended to us.

Even this gardener has been working for next door for years, a good worker.

All the others either do work for my lads company or are related to them.

The same at work, we never take anyone on that we don't know, you can't afford to.

A neighbour rang today, he is missing us, his O/H is going into hospital on Wednesday, the problem is, she may not come home again, so sad.

They wanted us to stay with them instead of staying in these places.

Glad you were only getting online Emptybox, Mollie thought you may be unwell.

hope you managed to get all your housework done, and that you have a good day tomorrow with your visitors.

That is interesting about the food. Yes I should think it is worth a bit of trial and error there for you. I have found if I eat white bread afternoon/evening it can make me breathless at night, especially if I have a cold. I got a cold off OH recently and woke breathless, so have made sure I don't eat white bread or anything else in the hours before bed now, because the cold left me with an annoying cough now.

Hope you have a good night after your special spag bol anyway. What are you cooking for the visitors?

51 lights and 40 double sockets should be plenty for you. Did you have to get the whole house rewired? Shame the toilets didn't arrive, hope it doesn't make you too behind. Aaawww what a shame that your old neighbours are missing you so much, and so sad she is so ill.

I don't know what we will do when we need tradesmen as we don't really know anyone to ask round here. I only have a couple of friends who haven't needed tradesmen. When we got work done on our last house, we just made sure they were in the FMB, so I that is probably all we can do again. Our old neighbour used to be a builder but I hear he has money problems, so that is out.

Enjoyed X factor, and loved the Christmas ads during it. Nice to see the John Lewis penguin again.

didn't go out other than to get mum today, didn't feel up to going round town as I have this cough and it will be busy today.

goodnight both x magazine time in bed now.

Evening Mollie.

We just started again with the electrics nothing else we could do, same as we stripped out all the doors and windows, and will replace the old carpet with 12mm Light Walnut gloss laminate.

We arent having any center room fittings like usual, we will have the LED strip under the kitchen cabinette's, even all outside lights are LED.

Sorry to hear you've got a cough Mollie.

Didn't think much of X Factor tonight, but I'm just about to watch Dr Who, which will be good.

Just going to give my visitors steak pie potatoes and broccoli tomorrow.

Pity your toilets didn't arrive Hicky. That could prove a little inconvenient for you?

Sounds like the garden there was in quite a state?

Sad about your old neighbour's OH.

Evening Emptybox.

Have taken another set of pictures, inside and out, can't do much till i get set up again in the bungalow, lost without my computer.

Cant see most of the garden at the mo because of the 5m sections of soffet and facia board and guttering, also the roots and tree/bush cuttings makes it hard to move around.

At least i can walk along the fence line, somewhat difficult with the mud thats left.

Will see what wood i can cut into bits to put into the skip then when we get the big tree down if its too much to cut up with a chainsaw then we may have to get a wood chipper machine in, but they aren't cheap to get.

I think i'll have to get a jcb machine in to level all the garden as it would be a massive job for the gardener to do, will have to see.

Also this couple of ton of Granite is a problem, if i can't find anyone to take it then i'll have to skip it.

The blocks are about 250x150x150 and weigh about 16kg each the blocks are only worth about 1 pound each anyway.

I've seen my next folding work mate.

This one, will have to wait till Wednesday.
