Pirate, I hope you do come back to us

If you really wanted to get deregistered you would have to ask Lori as she's the only person who can do that but it's better just to leave it alive in case you come back. One disadvantage of deregistering is that if you've ever posted on a private message thread, if you reregistered you wouldn't be able to access those private message threads.

El Loro

thank you for nice words-i wasnt having a flouncy thing lol

im selling a few bit & pieces, this pc was one item, i tried factory reset thing but its still got some of my details on (hence why im here now)! -im not removing HDrive & im certainly not taking it to tip (they put pc's seperate & useable parts are sold on) so i thought it best to delete EVERYTHING until we're set up & got broadband up & all that

sooooo

i'll keep account going & we're not off for a little while yet & when the time comes & i get new one, im setting fire to this bloody thing

you'd be surprised how much detail your old pc can keep, even when youve wiped it & i dont fancy anymore money going missing!

Pirate,

This is partly my business. This is what you need to do.

Remove the hard drive from your PC. Unscrew the top plate and then using a hammer and an an appropriate sized blunt instrument (a thick screwdriver will do) destroy the plates inside.

You will have guaranteed to have destroyed all of your data - trust me, I'm in data recovery.

There are files on a computer which your average person has no idea about. Let me have your PC and I will be able to tell you which websites you have visited, what pictures you have looked at and what videos you have watched.

Take my advice ^ up there and you will be fine. No one is going to spend the time, effort and money piecing together thousands of bits of hard drive platter just to get to your bank details, they would want to a big payday to do that.

Alternatively you can use a 'military grade' (don't ask me why they call them that, some do. ) disk wiping software. The software will write '0''s across the whole of the disc up to 32 times, they can also be set to write different 'bit' patterns. I would be happy to trust it.
