season starts for us tomorrow........can't wait...

barton is a knob twonk.....though song should've been sent off for the stamp.....however the way barton keeled over from the girly slap he got was pathetic...i'm sure he managed to stay on his feet when smacking the living daylights out of someone on the streets of liverpool a few years back...

suarez card waving......don't like to see it.... his penalty was awful though...

He's looking good Joe, great start for him.

I'm off to watch our Ladies later, two matches to go and if we win both then we should have the league again. Been a really strange season for our Ladies. There's no doubt that the new WSL is much more competitive than the old league (we've been beaten twice, which is unheard of) but I don't like the moving of the season to through the summer and the breaks for internationals etc.

Hmmm... not sure if a point at Stoke is a good result or not for Chelsea. Survived a first-half onslaught from the home side and dominated the second-half but very few clear chances were created. I would hope that with Torres, Kalou, Malouda, Lampard, Anelka and Drogba all used; that  one of them would hit the net at some point during 95 minutes play!

Torres was excellent throughout btw...

agree about torres.....his best game for us by a mile......kalou and malouda were anonymous.....think we had a decent penalty shout or two....but that's the way it goes...sometimes you get them sometimes you don't..

i'm not too disappointed..i'd have settled for a point before the game...the big plus has to be torres..hopefully he can build on that

Welllll... judging by the first weekend, the Premier League isn't showing any signs of becoming less shit than it was last season. Having attended Newcastle v Arsenal last night, what a horrible horrible game of football that was. I'm really starting to lose interest in the Premier League. It's been absolute dog shite for a good couple of years now and I was hoping this season might be different but early signs aren't good. Hopefully Man City v Swansea City might give a bit of hope.

Torres did look very sharp today I have to say. A summer of rest appears to have done him the world of good.

Who cares?

Pretty amusing seeing the likes of Aguero, Silva and Y.Toure sharing a pitch with Gareth Barry... they must be pissing themselves.

do you think they'll try and shift him meaty?....balotelli that is not barry!!!....aguero was fantastic...him and silva are spot on already

Apprently talks on Nasri have broken down over agents fees! Dunno how Veggie can moan about teams like Stoke and the way they play when Arsenal Have such dirty players. Two red cards in two weeks? Today's should have been a straight red, not a 2nd yellow. I know Arsenal where quite high up in the foul league last season, looks like this season is going to follow suit. ION Millwall lost their first match today
Croctacus

we were awful today.......very lucky to get a win.....wba deserved a point..

shane long is going to be a nuisance for many defenders this season i think......could be a real bargain..

we're meant to be playing attacking football under andre village people........yet so many times today we were slow to get the ball forward and just passed it around midfield
