I think EE in general is a terrible example to display to kids.

Full of anger and violence.

There's two more members of the Carter family yet to arrive.

There's Stan, the father of Mick, Shirley and Tina. He is played by Timothy West.

And there's Aunt Babe who will sort them out or else. She is played by Annette Badland who I remember from Bergerac.

 

I havent really watched it since they came into it.. i caught up on all i missed up until their first/second eppy  And scince then it's been catch up on other stuff... Today was emmerdale and i got up to Weds

The mother does my head in. Like Danny Dyer's character. When I first seen the son I thought he was about 13, got a shock when Whitney and Danny became interested in him!

I gave up watching Eastenders in 2012.

We were guests at another house so ended up watching some. A lot of the time was spent saying, "Who is that?" And "why is x with y?" It must have been irritating!
Nice to see the new landlord get through an hour of TV without using the f word, the c word, or the djtmf word.
I doubt we will be watching it again soon! Coronation St remains far superior, in spite of the previously mentioned Hayley plot.

I don't mind them.

 

I'm more interested in how much weight Sharon has put on, and how much better Kirsty (is that her name? Max's wife) looks now that she's scraped a whole load of slap off her face.

i like the new family at the Vic......but when Ronnie put roxis little girl in the living room and went to murder carl who was looking after her or did I miss that bit

That poor kid is always being left and she can't even talk yet  no one has hung around long enough to teach her 

I think I like the new family ......loving Danny Dyers character - loved the gay storyline tonight.

 

And thank you whoever posted about the mother having been in The Upper Hand ......it was doing my head in - I would never have got that in a million years (without Googling that is).

She is a magician .....the other New Year she swapped her dead baby for a live one and no one noticed that either. She has an invisibility cloak.

Apparently Ronnie starts to go all physco over Roxy and keeps her locked up and takes control over her 

Has Carl left the show? reason I ask is I don't feel convinced he's dead. When the car was crushed the boot seemed pretty intact which makes me wonder if somehow he's still alive

Nah, I don't think he is either. If he was crushed there would have been innards and stuff running out of the car!!

I like the daughter.  I think the retread of the gay son is a bit of an EastEnders staple.  Having endured a few Essix/Cockerney gangsta Danny Dyer films over the years, I think he's exceeded expectations so far and seems to be understating his usual routine.  Certainly better than the recent cockerney villuns like Carl White and Derek Branning.

Phil as a hardman is getting increasingly implausible.

Holy Moly!  A bit like Sam Butcher. 

Anyway, I like the new family.  A bit of fresh air even if it's the usual implausible extended family connection.  About time they sacked pouting pudding, Sharon.  It was a mistake to bring her back in the first place.

There will be 9 Carter's in the square when they are all here 

He will turn up next Christmas  I'm sure scrap yards check the cars before crushing them 

I quite like the new family, (especially the Danny Dyer character which I didn't think I would).  Looking forward to the arrival of Timothy West.
