aww thanks Jen it really does make a difference when out walking the doggie

I have been a bit half hearted since the beginning of December, weighed in on Saturday morning and maintained which was good considering

went straight out to Chester for lunch and bought some gawj chocs

i will try my best this week but if i dont lose it wont be my fault at all, i can't be blamed for eating posh chocs (and also for ordering a mega-reduced hamper of thorntons chocs online)

seriously though, my meals are ok, but i am struggling to fight the choc-monster father christmas left behind

made a spinach pasta bake and curry loaf yesterday

Good luck Supes and Jen for Wednesday/Thursday

Just looked up the recipe barney, it's on line and meat free.

Tonight I am making the five spiced braised pork recipe from the 'All in One' recipe book,if it tastes as good as it smells it'll be blooming lovely.

Also finishing off a Black Forest trifle to take to taster night tomorrow, my 'made up' recipe: trifle sponges soaked in a strong concentration of chocshot and water; frozen cherries;  chocolate custard made with almond milk, 70% chocolate, egg yolks, cornflour and sweetner; another layer of cherries, covered in 'cream' made with half quark, half 0% greek yoghurt and vanilla seeds; decorated with cocoa and more cherries.

I hope you milked those almonds yourself, supes!

It all sounds delicious (as does the Homity Pie - I googled it too and might try it myself.

how did you get on this week supes?

Put on half a pound...no idea how that happened, but I think that the 4.5lb I lost last week was a bit more than I actually had lost as I hadn't had time to eat anything the day I got weighed, so maybe that was the reason?

How about you/everyone else?

after my post-weigh in chocolate binge on Saturday night I was doing ok this week until last night when i ate a walnut whip and a huge bar of dairy milk, just can't get motivated at the moment

well done jen, i got to that stage last year and felt a bit embarrassed to go back, joined a new class (more convenient times) which my old consultant is a member at!!  i was made to feel really welcomed back - hope its not as bad as you think!

i dont really buy many books because as a veggie who doesnt like most vegetables lol, most of the recipes dont suit me, but i know that there is a free book out during feb if you buy a 12 week countdown, i will be getting the countdown on saturday so hopefully the book next week

Hi Jen, how did you get on? Not too much damage I hope. I've got a few, but would recommend the All In One for quick and easy and the Fakeaway one is brilliant, some great curry recipes etc. although they take a bit more time and effort, particularly if you want to do a few different ones at the same time.

I have chocolate just about every day as syns  barney, but try to keep it to something like a Freddo or a mini bag of buttons or maltesers. I also make a lot of chocolate desserts using the high cocoa content stuff, things like mousse and that black forest trifle I mentioned up there ^^^ where you get a lot of 'chocolate taste' for minimum syns. Having said that I'm struggling with motivation atm, going up and down and haven't really lost anything substantial since Christmas. Wish it would get moving again

I'm just scoffing a piece of baked tropical fruit cheesecake: made up recipe, very nice and really easy 250g quark, 250g low fat cottage cheese with pineapple, muller light mango greek yoghurt, muller light coconut greek yoghurt, zest of a lime, sweetener, 3 eggs. All beaten together then baked at 150 for an hour. Chilled then covered with flesh of two passion fruits and chopped mango

One of my favourites EC. Actually I was umming and ahhing what to have tonight, might just go and whizz some of that up myself and then take the rest for lunch tomorrow

Sorry Supes, I got it wrong. I actually bought (not made at home unfortunately) Pea, Spinach with Mint.

It's from a range of soups I find delicious and convenient.

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities

No worries EC, I made some, ate half and the rest I'll take for lunch tomorrow. Tbh there really is nothing easier, quicker and cheaper! 450g bag of frozen peas, 1 1/2 pints of boiling chicken stock, (I tend to use those knorr stock pots these days,) 3 finely chopped springs onions, chopped ham and a good handful of chopped mint, all simmered together for 10 mins. Blend with a stick blender and serve with a big swirl of low fat fromage frais.

Heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllppppppppppp!!

Someone help me.  Please.  I am dreadful at diets and for the last few weeks have yo-yo'd up and down with losses and gains and not being able to stick to the diets properly.  I was doing ok on the 5:2 but after getting gastritis the doc said the diet might not be suitable as I'm too hungry on the diet days and my stomach really hurts.  This week I've cracked at least 3 times and had something non diet friendly.

I need my mouth sewn up.

Ells

Hiya Ells I think we're all struggling a bit atm, think it's the weather and dark nights myself. Do you not fancy doing SW again? I know you're not overly keen on cooking but I'm sure we could help in here with some easy but tasty recipes. Oh and they've started doing a small range of ready meals in Iceland, (not that I've tried them or am likely too LOL) And they've 'tweaked' the plan a bit with the option of doing SP days to boost your weight loss which are basically protein and superfree days plus an A and two B groups, 5-15syns but no other carbs. Q a few people I know are doing a 5:2 version i.e. 5 extra easy days and 2 SP days but you can still have loads to eat so shouldn't get hungry?
