I have heard of the 5.2 diet Saint, haven't tried it but understand its fast for 2 days eat what you want for 5?

Tbh i have only really been on a 'diet' once before in my life and that was a year or two ago when i was calorie counting on an app. I have to say i have found slimming World to be fantastic, not only in helping me lose weight but i have also learned to cook everything from scratch with no oil/butter and just generally choose the healthier options.

I hope you had a fab time away Supes and you're well xxx

Well done Jen I really did have the very best of holidays, so much fun and quality time with my sis' and friends, even though I was, (still am) loaded with cold and keep losing my voice! Mostly ate reasonably sensibly for mains, didn't snack, but had far too many desserts and lots of alcohol! Got 'til Wed before I get weighed to try and shift it 'though, so hoping for a maintain if I'm really good......Oh dear as I typed this, friends called inviting me out to supper at an Italian restaurant tonight, would have been rude to refuse

Jen, think your weigh in was yesterday? If so, how did you get on? I'm at SW tonight, think I may have managed to shift the weight I put on before the Christmas onslaught, fingers crossed! Oh and yesterday I treat myself to an Italian hand stitched cashmere and wool camel coat in the sale, think the sizing was a bit generous, but bought a size 12, whoop, whoop :-)

I haven't been well Supes so it's all gone a bit wrong, i booked last Thurs and this Thurs off as holiday as I've also got some really stressy crappy crap going on at the mo  I've weighed at home and have put a few lbs back on... not loads but some.... I'm (hopefully) on a Hen night on the 31st (other stuff should be sorted by then) so looking at that as a place i can draw a line under it all and start a fresh and just get 100% back on it.

How have you been doing? Glad you had a brilliant time away! The back all better now?

Jen-Star

Awww Jen, sorry that you're having a crappy time And I got your weigh in day wrong, I thought it was Tues not Thurs!

A woman in my group who has lost an incredible amount of weight posted something on our fb page yesterday which I thought was brilliant: ' Good weeks, bad weeks, losses, gains, remember you've never failed until you've given up trying'

My back is fine now thanks, went as suddenly as it came I've been up and down weight wise, lost 3 1/2 lbs after I got back from my hols, then put on 1/2lb last week....overall that means I weighed what I did at the end of Nov, so going nowhere. Seriously need to get shifting it again if I'm to reach my goal for the wedding @ end of May, so been an this week, hopefully the scales will be kind tomorrow!

I rejoined slimming world last week, and lost 4.5 this week.  I've bought a little bench top oven/grill/hob combo for work so I can cook at work and hopefully vary the lunches.  Today I have a fish casserole in the oven.  Cod loin, prawns & scallops with peppers, onion, garlic, chilli flakes, tomatoes, saffron & fennel.

Is that for lunch in the office, cinds?     I think I'm pushing the boat out if I bake a potato!   *drools*

I didn't see it, I'll go and look.

I forgot got about this thread when I started that one, so I might let mine drop away. But I'll go & look at you recommendation first. Thanks

Thank you Supes, I've made a note of that place. But I'll reply in here to this reply... If I can do it right.

You're reply is now under my response. But I was just going to say about your sis saying it tasted like soap, I think it tastes like metal. However, I think my dislike for it, is more when it's there as a fresh herb rather than dried powder form.

Ah, my sis used to be like that, said it tasted like soap, now she loves it and all things Thai, Malaysian etc. I was the same with tarragon

Wow well done Barney! 4st must feel so good!

I was at 2.5st at new year but I've had a very bad January and I think I've put the 1/2 back on  been getting a bit back on track today but I'm not 100% on it until Feb tbh.... I usually weigh on a Thursday evening. Supes is Wed (evening too i think)
