CSI: Cypher starts tonight on Channel 5.

 

Special agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) works to solve crimes as a CyberPsychologist for the FBI.

Peter MacNicol (Ally McBeal and Numbers) also appears in series 1.

 

Reviews indicate that the series improves after the first few episodes. 13 episodes in series 1. Series 2 has started in the States with D B Russell (Ted Danson) joining.

You are right. Next Tuesday there's just the one episode followed by Channel 5 repeating The Mysteries of Laura which was previusly shown on 5 USA.

 

My brother liked The Mysteres of Laura. I stopped part way through watching the first episode as I felt like throwing something at the screen. I think it's supposed to be a comedy.

I persevered with the Mysteries of Laura cos I too wanted to throw something at her for being a lousy mother and having bratty kids but the horrid kids disappear after a few episodes and it gets better.. 

I was just calling it Cypher in my later posts to save wear and tear on my fingers

 

It wasn't just the kids in The Mysteries of Laure, it was everyone and everything in it which put me off.
