I loved my headmistress and deputy, just saying

mine were too remote to like TBH - TM remind s me of  a DH when i was teaching

Yes , mine was remote too Ros ...til you did something wrong But tbh teachers were all like that in my day ....they weren't there to make friends with the pupils

agree - the younger teachers tend to but i never did and thank goodness some teachers  are still like that - TBH its about mutual respect , firm but fair  and setting achievable guidelines/ boundaries

was it down to sellerfield (sp)

too complicated to explain Ros, many issues. Sellafield was a lie in the press, JC misquoted many times and not once did he say he would close down nuclear power...and Sellafield doesn't generate any power it's a nuclear tip and one I personally don't want on my doorstep.

Mine was actually a grammar stream in an all girls school....I had to travel,  but got a bus pass ....although I think my parents struggled to pay for things like uniforms etc.

I think we only had one grammar school to serve 4 towns and then you had to travel..I know friends that deliberately failed so they wouldn't be offered a place and have to turn it down. I had no intention of going, my friend and I mucked up ours and then were told we had to resit it  we then were given the option of moving or staying and we both stayed in the academic stream

I totally agree Ros  TBH I think the 1970s have a lot to answer for in that respect!

Hi Dame  How is Max ? And your brother ?

Evening Baz

Max wasn't too bad thanks Baz, but he's had it a couple of days and Sam picked up on day three and hoping Max will. My brother was fine, well, fine as he can be...but he stayed awake  He said his lunch was nicer because I made it  I helped him with it and he must have thought I had cooked it

Have you recovered from the housework spree
