Strictly in the interests of science I am experimenting with a couple of new M&S Spirit of Summer items.  I will report on my findings in due course, that's if I survive

There's a new cold dessert called "Banana & Dulce de leche slices". Dulce de leche is popular in France, Portugal, Spain, and much of Latin America. It's made from sweetened milk which has been caramelised.

The other is a Pina Colada luxury yogurt. It's a bit of a misnomer as although it has pineapple and coconut, there's no rum.

El, if you need any help with your "experiment" I am willing to offer myself as "sacrificial lamb" in the aid of science, of course

Good morning everyone and hola to our friends basking in the sunshine   I christened my new mug with a lovely drink of Horlicks yesterday Summer and will be ordering hot chocolate this week.

Very cloudy this morning but as we were forecast heavy rain for today I suppose that's not too bad.  Congratulations to Cheltenham!

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, rain forecast for the early afternoon but raindrops here already.

Local elderly couple take to hospital (not seriously injured) after being stuck in their car down an embankment for some 14 hours in the recent cold weather.
http://www.gloucestercitizen.c...07-detail/story.html.

It looks as if they came off the A46 at Cranham near the turn off to Nut Hill - there's a very steep bend there and I know that a lot of cars speed down that road.

I hope everyone has a pleasant Bank Holiday Monday

Good morning everyone, disappointingly grey and cold here, just when you could do with some glorious Spring weather.  I have been having great fun choosing different hot chocolates for my new mug, there is quite a good range nowadays.  As well as the Cadburys one I have opted for a Swiss chocolate one and one other, I am looking to find out which one is my favourite.

Oh that poor couple EL that must have been so distressing for them, unable to get help and probably cold as well.  I hope they recover soon but I am sure it will have knocked their confidence.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, I hope you enjoy your new position as chief hot chocolate taster

I hope that couple recover soon - akthough they live quite close by I don't think I know them.

GJ, as you say forecast to be 20 by the weekend. I've just been talking with my neighbours. He was saying how cold ir was then I told him that by the weekend they'll be saying how warm it is. They told me that they have sold their house to move to a larger house and that it's another young couple moving in as a starter home. Although most of the houses in my area are 3 bedrooms, theirs's is the exception with just two, I'll be sorry to see them go as they've have been the nicest neighbours I've had.

Moonie, as I know Cheltenham very well it was quite interesting seeing it from a different angle. The bus starts in Imperial Square, turns right and immediately left into St Georges Road for a few seconds, breaks off and doesn't show going down Royal Well Road and turning in to the Promenade. Most of the clip then shows going southwards down the Promenade, across the junction with Imperial Square and St Georges Road going into Montpeliier Walk. There's another break as the bus comes back northwards along Montpellier Walk heading towards the Promenade into St Georges Road again. Then there's a gap (where the bus must have gone down Royal Well Road into Clarence Parade) as the very last part of the clip is heading from Clarence Street across North Street (with Boots on the right hand side). (That has to be the route due to the one way system).

I've no intention of watching The Windsors when it starts on Friday as it's not the sort of thing I watch (sharp cruel comedy targeting the royal family) but was intrigued to see that one of the co-writers was someone called Bert Tyler-Moore (seems to be a British comedy writer). Those old enough may remember the Dick van Dyke show where his wife was played by Mary Tyler Moore. She then had her own television comedy show. She's American and I'm not aware that the two are related
