We have been out for an early lunch at Mr Yogi's (current) favourite restaurant, which is a Chinese Buffet one. Food was lovely, but we are stuffed, so instead of going shopping to look for Christmas presents, we are vegging out on the couch.

So do I, and I was quite shocked to see how old he is looking now.  Time is surely flashing past quickly nowadays.

Chinese Buffets are so tempting I am not surprised you were too stuffed to go present hunting.  I hope you have good luck when you start looking

Thanks Squiggle. We are going to go tomorrow instead - no lunches included!

For all the lovely women in this thread and in fact any women who stop by - I am sure the men who come in regularly and also those who pop in occasionally won't mind

WOMAN. . . . . . . . .

When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day.......

An angel came by and asked." Why spend so much time on her ?".

.

The lord answered. " Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?".....

she must function on all kinds of foods, ...

she must be able to embrace several kids at the same time,

give a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart ,

she must do all this with only two hands,.."

She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day".... ...

THE ANGEL was impressed. .." Just two hands.....impossible !" ..

And this is the standard model ? ! ...."

The Angel came closer and touched the woman"...... ..

." But you have made her so soft, Lord".....

." She is soft", said the Lord,

" But I have made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome "...

."Can she think?" The Angel asked...

The Lord answered. " Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate" ...

.

The Angel touched her cheeks.....

" Lord, it seems this creation is leaking ! You have put too many burdens on her. " ...

."She is not leaking...it is a tear" The Lord corrected the Angel...

" What's it for?" Asked the Angel..... .

.

The Lord said. " Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride."...

THIS made a big impression on the Angel,

" Lord, you are genius. You thought of everything.

A woman is indeed marvellous !".... ...

.

Lord said." Indeed she is.

She has strength that amazes a man.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when she feels like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying, cries when happy and laughs when afraid.

She fights for what she believes in.

Her love is unconditional.

Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies

but she finds strength to get on with life." ..

The Angel asked : So she is a perfect ?

The lord replied : No. She has just one drawback

" She often forgets what she is worth".

We have this odd idea of people staying looking the same forgetting that we too are ageing

It's also true that if you see someone on a regular basis you don't notice that they are getting older but if you meet someone you haven't seen in years then you are more likely to.

Mr Yogi was at a funeral of an old colleague last week. There were lots of people there who had retired and he hadn't seen for ages. He mentioned how old everyone looked, and he laughed when I asked him if he'd looked in the mirror recently.

They smell amazing!

Yes I did, I loved pixie and jake's dances tonight

I bet they do! Are you tempted to eat some?

I loved Jake and Frankie's dances tonight. I though some of Pixie's choreography made her look like she was bow-legged. She is my mum's favourite though.

I'm getting sleepy so I better go before I nod off.

Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer.

Night owl hugs for Ros and Velvet.

Good morning Summer,I slept okay thanks. I hope you did too.

Good morning everyone, much cloudier this morning. I hope you all slept well

I had a lovely visit from my eldest grandson, his girlfriend and her little girl yesterday.  The little girl is 3, she decided to play hide and seek with my grandson.  So she kneels on the chair with her face to the wall and cover her head with a cushion - ta da! Completely invisible Bless her.

Enjoy your day everyone

I'm back from foraging, I've collected holly, moss, fur branches, rosehips and hawthorn berries. I collected pine cones throughout the summer months
I'm having a cuppa before I go sort out and trim up my goods

Squiggle, that's very cute indeed

The wreaths are going to look beautiful.
