Summer, the address which you copied for the picture was:

htt p: //s963.photobucket.com/user/diwall/media/DSCI0001.jpg.html

That is the web page address with the picture, hence the html suffix which is why no picture appeared.

The image location was:

htt p: //i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae116/diwall/DSCI0001.jpg

(I've put spaces near the begining to force these to appear as text rather than links.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, coolish and cloudy but humid and definitely making up its mind to be another scorcher.  The nights are uncomfortable I'm finding.

Is it me or is the posting of pictures getting slightly more complicated?

Hope all goes well with no treatment necessary at the dentist EL.  And I hope it's a lovely day with PB Yogi.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

Squiggle, it does seem that people are finding it harder to post pictures. I haven't experienced any problems so it's difficult to know if the problem is at this forum end or if it's the various sites making it harder, possibly because they are concerned over copyright issues. Is the problem found just on iPhones or computers as well?

El Loro

You may remember that I recently posted about a rumour that some of the next Star Wars film might be filmed in the Forest of Dean. I haven't heard anything more about that and don't know if there was any truth in that as it could easily be something else being filmed, either a film or television programme.

But there's this article today on the Gloucester Citizen site.

http://www.gloucestercitizen.c...34-detail/story.html

Again that's a rumour but IMDB on this film does say that some of it will be filmed in the UK and Gloucester Docks does get tall ships sailing in from time to time so this could turn out to be true.

Good morning everyone

A bit cloudier here tham yesterday but still warm. There's a possibility of heavy showers/thunderstorm later in the afternoon.

I hope Moonie's migraine has gone.

Summer, when I look at the photobucket page with that get well picture on my computer, I get the link to share options of Email & IM, Direct, HTML, and IMG. I select the Direct option and paste that via the Insert Image icon here. There's no extra text to get rid of with that option.

Good morning everyone, a nice cool morning here but I know it's not going to last, it's going to be a scorcher and it's a bit too hot for me.  Oh well make the most of it.

Interesting to know about using the Direct button on Photobucket EL, I never know which one to use nowadays you used to be able to just click the image button and do copy and paste but that doesn't work now, it just copies the text for some reason.  It was only looking at the thread on my phone last night that I finally saw your second photo from yesterday morning, the Snoopy photo was all I saw (and can see) on here.

I hope you are feeling better this morning moonie, I wonder if it's this hot weather, I know you said it was like an oven the other day.

I get very confused about these hang gliders, para glider things Summer.  The ones I see are powered and go for miles, it looks lovely and peaceful to see them floating across the sky but I suppose the noise of the motor makes it less peaceful in reality.  I think I'm too old now but would love to have had a go when I was younger.  As for those unpowered ones where you jump off a mountain, no I don't think that's for me.

Have a good day everyone, try to stay cool

squiggle

Squiggle, I think that this forum software loads the images from the source website at the time someone accesses a forum page. That means that if there is a hiccup on the source website or any slow connection either on that site or this site we don't get to see the image when we look at the page. That wouldn't apply to images which have been uploaded on to the forum via attachments but only VIPs can do that.

I mentioned yesterday about a film to be filmed partially at Gloucester Docks. The article on the Gloucester Citizen mentioned one film. The BBC has a similar article:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-e...cestershire-28421566

but that article mentions a different film though both films star the same actor so that's where the confusion arises. Logically though, given the setting, the Citizen's choice seems far more likely that the BBC's.

No doubt all will become clear in due course.

Afternoon all a cool morning here that has turned in to an absolute scorcher! I disliked being out in the car today.
I had a very long over due catch up with my friend, and even held her baby

Yogi is unwell again and has asked me to tell you all, she won't be back until she feels she can return without having to vanish suddenly.
Get well soon yogi

Thanks for that info El, I'll try the direct link instead

Good morning everyone

It's cloudy here but the forecast is for another sunny day.

for absent and poorly friends

Summer, I was lucky enough to be able to see The Wizard of Oz at the cinema when I was a child. That was of course a re-release, not the original release. As a child I did find the scene with the flying monkeys a bit scary:

Good morning everyone, a lovely cool breeze is blowing through the room, I have the patio doors open and windows on the other 2 sides, it's gorgeous and refreshing.  Lovely to get rid of the stale hot air.

I remember when I was a very little girl being taken to see the Wizard of Oz, my brother who is 13 years older than me was driving, so I was probably about 6, my big sister would have been 16 and my other brother would have been 9.  I can't remember much about the film but I have a vivid memory of us all singing 'We're Off To See The Wizard' on the way home. It felt lovely, a real family feeling.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're up to.  Yogi and moonie hope you are feeling better and are able to post a bit today

When Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Disney film, was first released in the UK it was given an A certificate because the censors thought it was too scary for children to watch it by themselves. At that time, the A certificate meant that young children could only watch it if they were accompanied by an adult.

There was a lot of criticism of the censors for their decision. The criticism was headed by the writer Graham Greene who was also a film critic for the Spectator. The censors eventually changed their minds and gave the film the U ceritificate.
