Another cloudy but dry day here. Very strong winds forecast for Thursday will make it feel bitterly cold for anyone who has to go out.

 

In case you don't spot it Lori has posted that various issues have been identified regarding the slowness problem. The developers are dealing with them and intend to release the improvements in the next forum update in a couple of weeks.

 

Good morning everyone.  That's good news that the developers are getting to the bottom of the forum problems.  It's getting increasingly cold here too.  The puppy pics are so cute, I'm not safe around puppies I want to take them all home.  Summer whose dog is it?  Will you be tempted to take one of the puppies yourself?

Moonie, it's not the first time RBS customers have been hit - there were big problems last year for some days in June and July.

RBS says it will compensate all those left out of pocket because of this.

I think the problem may have been that their servers were overloaded because yesterday may have been one of the busiest days ever for cyber shopping.

 

My brother didn't get that "poisoned chalice" job that he was required to be interviewed for, The person who got the job had to start yesterday but "nobody can really tell her much about it as very little has been thought through".

My brother may get redeployed if there's anything suitable but probably after Christmas. There's also a possibility that a library team member might leave and he could then apply for that job but it would be in a less senior post.

 

Good afternoon sorry to keep you all waiting, work has kept me busy this morning!

The final puppy count is... 7! 4 boys & 3 girls one is called Betsy, the others haven't been named.
It's a friend of mine who I see regularly and the mum is brambles best friend! We will be seeing a lot of these puppies in the weeks to come I won't be keeping one though, I would get another bramble if I was getting a second dog

I'm glad your brother didn't get the job El, it sounds like he would have dreaded it

Summer, my brother is not sad that he didn't get that job. He accepts that he does not have the type of personality which would be needed to go out and find volunteers, and I think that the people who interviewed him would have picked that up.

Sorry I didn't back on yesterday; work was busy and I finished late, only just made it yoga in time (had a brilliant session) and then popped round SIL's to do her hair!
Today we are taking our annual trip to Harrogate, you all know what that means!

Yogi, yes- I was viewing puppies before I even went to work yesterday lol they're tiny. They mostly squeak and curl up in a ball, and hide under mum where it's warm. I can't wait until they open they're eyes, run around and cause lots of trouble lol
