Good morning everyone

Sunny here but forecast to cloud over later.

Moonie, as long as there's enought breeze for your washing to dry

I see that the BBC are going to make a version of King Lear but set in a fictionalised modern day setting where England is under a totalitarian military dictatorship. The reason for mentioning this is the cast which is one of the most heavyweight I've ever seen. (though no sign of Judi Dench).

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning I hope you've all had a good week my mum and I are enjoying her visit so much that she extended her stay a few days longer.

I tried to pop in the night before last but got the error page

yesterday we visited The Alnwick Garden, which was a brilliant day out, we will definitely go back at some point in the future. I came home with 4 new alpine plants to add to my garden

today I've got a wedding to go to

what are you all up to?

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone.

Weather is overcast and damp.

Summer, I'm so pleased you and your mum have had such a lovely time together. I hope the wedding goes well today.

As you know, I love Alnwick Garden, and the castle.

Middle son is visiting today - ATM, I don't know if DiL will be joining us after work and they will be staying for tea.

Eldest DiL messaged last night to ask if I could mind the tiddlers for a few hours tonight. It's going to be a busy day.

Have a good day, everyone

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here.

Ros, I deliberately MOT for myself as I had posted about having my car MOTd earlier this week

Summer, I'm glad you are having a nice time with your mum and that the wedding goes well The error message the other day would have been due to the process of switching the forum over from http to https and the server maintenance.

Yogi, I hope you have a nice time with your family visitors today

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone

Breezy day here but a little sunshine every now and again

Sweet, glad you and your  mum are having a nice time together. I hope the wedding goes well and the weather is good

Yogi, sounds like you Saturday will be a busy one

Hi El, both you and your car passed your MOTs so that’s a good week

Have a great day everyone

Moonie

Recently I posted about the bench on top of a local Gloucester hill, Robinswood Hill, being badly damaged by an arsonist.

Eariler this week, there was a report of antisocial behaviour in Rose Garden on Matson Avenue. I assume that's part of Matson Park. When that was looked into, it was discovered that a tree had been cut down with some saws, another tree had some branches taken off, put into a pile and set on fire. There were reports that there had been 6 males between 14 and 15 who did this.

I wouldn't be surprised if these two are connected considering that Robinswood Hill and Matson Park are close together.

Yogi, that's disappointing for you, I hope BB is better very soon

Those vandals have no understanding as to what they do. They might have seen some survival programme on television and seen people cutting down trees, collecting wood, and making a fire to cook/keep warm.

Thanks El, I'm hoping it's a 24 hour bug and he is better tomorrow.

I just hate senseless vandalism

Evening all.

Middle son and DiL had an event to attend so didn't stay for tea, and poor BB is unwell  so my minding has been cancelled.

El, I love the panda video, they are so cute! My childhood teddy was a panda.

I don't understand the mentality of idiots who vandalise things for fun.

Awww hope BB is feeling better very soon

 for him

Goodbye morning a lovely sunny start to the day here *pushes it towards yogi town*!

The wedding yesterday was beautiful, one of the best I've ever been to. It was simple & elegant, intimate and beautiful. Dinner was in a giant teepee lit with fairy lights and had a fire pit, dancing was a ceilah and there were marshmallows to toast on an outdoor fire too!

Hooe you all had a lovely evening, what are your plans today?

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone.

It's a dry and cloudy day.

Thank you all for the good wishes for BB and I'll be sure to pass on that lovely hug when I see him on Tuesday, Moonie.

Squiggle, he does enjoy a cuddle with Granny.

I messaged DiL this morning - didn't want to call in case BB was asleep and I woke him. DiL said he'd had a better night and got some sleep. He seems a bit brighter  this morning.

Summer, the wedding sounds really lovely, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

PB's nursery have been collecting for their Harvest Festival and the donations go to a nearby sheltered housing complex for the elderly. I love that her nursery embraces the festivals/celebrations of all faiths, teaching tolerance and understanding.

I've been putting the garden "to bed" for the winter. I'm going to be very unimpressed if another lawn cut is required.

Have a good day, everyone.

Summer, that wedding you went to sounds idyllic

Yogi, I'm glad BB seems to be on the mend Our church has had its Harvest Festival activities with some of the local schools taking part. The food given went to the local Foodbank and the cash received to a couple of charities. I hope your gardening goes to plan. Although I cut the grass a week ago it may need another cut before the year is over but that's more likely in this part of the country compared to yours.

I hope it does too

Due to your inspiration Yogi, I got me mower out and mowed the three back lawns. If the weather is decent tomorrow, I will edge them and do a little weeding too
